White Pill 2172 Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5/325
Updated2172 pills from Walgreens are not any where near Watson 3202. Don't relieve pain and will give you a headache. I tried to tell the pharmacist but they said that is what they shipped. This is what I have to deal with, *****s.

There's actually been several complaints here recently on these newer 2172 pills. Since they're generic, my guess is that the percentage of active ingredients are probably less than other manufacturer's versions. Not to mention the different binders/fillers that affect bioavailability or cause unwelcome side effects. It's a shame that pharmacies always go for the cheapest offer they can get and care nothing about quality control for their loyal customers/patients who have to rely on this medication. The entire healthcare sector and our economy could use a giant reset button if you ask me. Until then, it seems we are left to our own devices, where trial and error is the only recourse to finding what works. I hope everyone experiencing problems with this pill takes a moment to report it to the FDA via their medwatch program (fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch).
Best regards
What is this! A sugar pill? Who else is experiencing this problem with this switch Walgreens pulled on us? I am in pain and itching and it's like I've taken nothing whatsoever for my back pain.
I've been taking a low dose Hydrocodone Watson 3202 for the last several years for spinal arthritis. One pill a day as needed. No side effects. Not an addict. I just received a refill from Walgreens and received 2172. I called questioning the refill because it does not look the same. Walgreens said this is how all Hydrocodone is now. If so, 2172 it does not stop the pain. Just incredibly tired.
I just reported this. I was given this new brand Saturday, and since taking one last night I've had nausea, muscle weakness, headache, confusion & depression. Walgreens is telling me this is the only manufacturer available at any pharmacy now. ? I have a call in to my doctor to see what else can be done. Taking a pill to reduce pain and then being laid up in bed unable to function is 100% unacceptable. I'm glad some are tolerating it ok, but I wonder if they will have a build up of symptoms since this is definitely not the pill it claims to be.
I too have been on the Watson 5-325 with red speckles for years. But apparently now Actavis merged with Watson or some rubbish like that. All I know is it wasn't effective for me either and caused me to get headaches! My lower back has been feeling more horrible too. >:(
Guess they rather poison their customers and make them more sick so we will have to get on more meds. Seems legit to me! I called my Walgreens and spoke to the very helpful pharmacy manager and she suggested Vicodin Brand name 5-300mg. It is by ABBVIE. My insurance covered it as well. A lot of insurance companies do cover this brand name Vicodin so maybe you all should see if your insurance will. I also submitted a report to MedWatch, the FDA Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program. I would advise everyone to do the same!
I reported all of my symptoms as well for the 2172. There's really something wrong with this medication and now the pharmacy I went to and could order the Watson 3202 no longer can find any availability. If the FDA was truly forced to conduct trials on other generics for the so called same medication, they would have known any problems before allowing this on the market. I will never take another 2172 hydocodone 5mg/325 from this mfg again.
I used to get my prescription filled at Walgreens until they changed to the 2172. Had absolutely no pain relief. Went back to my dr and he had me change to a more expensive pharmacy, vut i was able to get the same medication that i had been taking for 3 years. Now this pharmacy has changed to the 2172. I AM MISERABLE!!!!!!! Since I just had the prescription filled, I have to suffer for the next month until I can try to get the medication changed.
What is the difference between hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 tablets with a pill number of 2172 and those with a pill number of M367? The first one is my newest script and the second one is from last year which I did not finish.
Re: Dani (# 8)
M367 is 10 mg of hydrocodone. I'll tell u, tho, that the 2172, which is supposedly 5 mg of hydrocodone, is fake and not the legitimate medication that we have all been prescribed for years.
