Hello Jay,

Unfortunately any medicine that you purchased from mexico that doesn't have an imprint is not going to be identifiable. In the U.S we use the imprints on the medicines to be able to physically identify the pill which allows us to trace them back to their manufacturer which in turn allows us to pull up the information on the specific medication.

As a personal rule of thumb I never take any medicine that I'm not able to identify and trace back to the manufacturer. Your pill may contain penicillin, it may simply be a placebo sugar pill or it could theoretically contain morphine. While that's a gross exaggeration it's really not off base, the fact is you simply don't know what the pill contains and that's what makes it unsafe to consume.

I would suggest you don't take it and if you really need penicillin pills you should go to your doctor in the U.S and have them examine your situation and prescribe you some medicine that you are confident contains the ingredients you are being prescribed.

Good luck.
