Supposed to be bupropion hcl XL 300mg, but this is not the usual generic, and I can't find it online.

I was prescribed the same pill, also not my norm and also for Bupropion HCL XL 300 mg, It does say CIPLA on the bottle also. I thought it looked odd, so I googled it and was surprised to not find any info except for this thread. Did you have any problems?

Yes, that is the correct medication, it is manufactured by Cipla USA.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and dry mouth.
