White Generic Adderall Tablet No Imprint

Hi there,

I got adderall from a friend who says he has his own prescription, but I don't know if it is actually adderall. It is 5 mg and is a white tablet with a split indent down the middle. There is no imprint on it that says '5' or 'ad', absolutely nothing. It could be any pill. He says the generic forms of many pills don't have a marking on them. Is this true?? Or is this some random pill that could be anything made in someone's basement?!?!

You are correct, it could be anything made in someone's basement or an over the counter product.

If there is no marking on it, you can rule it out completely as being a legal prescription medication from the U.S. or Canada.

All manufactured tablets and capsules of prescription medications are required to have a unique imprint to enable their identification, in case of emergency. From this imprint, one has to be able to determine the manufacturer, active ingredient and dosage.

This law came about, because there were times when someone had a bad reaction to a medication or overdosed and if the medication they took was unmarked and they were unable to communicate, it made it very difficult for medical personnel to give them the correct treatment.

Thus, as required by law, all prescription medications, even the generics, have markings on them.

However, this does not apply to over the counter products, so it could be any one of a very large number of those. The only prescription exception would be medications that are specially ordered by a doctor and compounded by a specialty pharmacy and those would be in capsule form.

I have been.diagnosed with narcolepsy over a year ago now and it took a long time for me and my doctor to find the right meds to help me. I have 2 small kids and i'm always on the run. Currently I am on 30mg adderall 2x a day. There are so many days where by 4:00pm I'm falling asleep so a friend of mine told me here I take adderall also try one of mine so you don't use all your pills before you have to refill your script. When I got home and really looked at it the pill was round and white without any markings on it. Not even a line down the middle of pill there's no way I can even look the pill up. When I did attempt to find it online I came across a bunch of articles regarding fake adderall. Can this be the case? I believe my friend said he ordered his script online and it came from india! I don't want to take something that can possibly hurt me.. Thank you

Not true. It’s possibly counterfeit. All generics need imprints, especially a scheduled drug!?? You may have armodafanil from a foreign country. It will help like Adderall but not as strong. If in doubt take a quarter to test, then another quarter, then rest
