I found a suspicious pill that doesn't look American or FDA approved. It is a half white, half pink capsule with a black stripe on each side. It does not have any branding or coding on it.

The lack of an imprint doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't a U.S. product, or that it isn't FDA approved. Over the counter items aren't required to have unique imprints and list them with the FDA.
That said, while I can be certain that's what these are, I have seen some Diphenhydramine capsules that meet this description, they were sold as a store brand of Benadryl.
