White Watson 10mg 325 #853 (Page 2)

I just recieved a new prescription of norco 853 10/325. The last script was yellow and the new ones are white. The pharmacist said that Watson changed the color but the pill is the same, does anyone know if this is accurate?
Wrong-the reasons the white ones don't work is because they cut down on the hydrocodone and then formulated them to metabolize slower. I've been taking the yellow Norco for many years. These new generic white things are a ripoff.
Go to Walgreens. Never had a problem with them. The pills don't work the same because they cut down on the amount of Tylenol in them. Just take an extra Tylenol it should work.
I have been taking hydrocodone 10 for over 15 years, and there is something very different about these new Watson 853s. I get from one national chain and that's the only ones they carry. My husband has a script for the same exact medication, and his insurance requires him to use a specific pharmacy chain, not same one I use. I only use the pharmacy because of the discount and it is $100 cheaper for me to go where I do. But, i have noticed in the last year or more that these pills are not as effective. And I also take ms contin 30 mg. So, I already take a sustained release med, and that's simular to the way these act. And that's not what they are supposed to be. Sometimes, it's like I haven't taken anything at all. End up having to take extra to get relief, and still don't really get any. My husband gets the same medication, just different pharmacy, and they dispense the white ones with 176 imprint. OMG, world of difference with just one. So, there its definitely something up with these. Either there is fillers or they are made to slow release. Either way, that's not right. We need them to do what they are supposed to and work they way they are suppose to.
I can't find Watson anywhere unless I want to pay 138 cash every month. I'm in Missouri I've been taking them for years and work well. Now I have to pay cash. Bull. The other 4 generics I've gotten make me ill and itch Bad. Don't know where to turn. :/

I can only speak for myself and the white ones make me sick and make me feel like crap plus I have to take nasua meds with the white ones. My pharmacy offers both colors and I ask for the yellows and he told me they were the same but my body feels different on the crappie white ones. My pharmacy says they are the same thing but they charge extra for the yellows, so if they are the same why the difference in cost? I think there are fillers or additives in the whites & they aren't as potent to me for my pain. I found this chat the same way you did and for me the yellows work better and don't cause me nausea. I can only speak for me, good luck.
The white ones work just as good as the yellow ones in my experience and I have been on pain management for many years. Everyone is different I guess.
Ohh I'm so mad at you Hank Williams Watson! You are so wrong! How dare you say get out there and live your life! That's exactly what I'm trying to do ! Walk in my shoes and say there the same and to compare the chronic pain sufferers with getting high! Ugh ignorance like you plus the addicts make this all a mess for us fighting to have some quality of life and then you come along with unintelligent comments! Ughhhhh!
Sorry there but I am no drug addict looking for a high! What I received the last 3 months (giving it a try because of the issues of "pill" shopping.) These new one don't work as well but even at that my complaint is the additive! It keeps me up all night!!! Tried not taking at night, pain is bad, and had to anyway...up all night! So I'm glad they work for you, but everyone's body reacts differently to meds. As I had Steven Johnson syndrome from mirapex and cymbalta ....
Iwas put onNorco,10/325's for yearsfor osteoporosis &osteopena as well as rhemetoid arthritis
my pain was controlled substantially, then a few months ago, the pharmacy gave me the same MGS but they were white. These do alleviate some of my pain, but do not last as long for pain relief. Also, I get nauseous on these whites with headaches
I have been taking the yellow Qualitist 3601 Norco for about 10 years now and I can honestly say that the Watson 853s work just as good.
Well said! This is exactly how I feel about the two as well.
No difference but FOOD COLORING! To many junkies out here seeking EUPHORIA! Been shot 3 times, 3 back Surgeries, Arthritis, ect ect ect. Some blame Politician's or Doctor's or? It's the same chemical make up. Get a grip & live life instead of discuss this issue!
Yes I very much agree even though they say that they are the same thing they are not. The whites don't work as well and they cause all day nasua even if I take pepto I have to go ahead and take a promethazine. My pharmacy offers both and I request the yellow.
Sometimes if u take them on empty stomache with other meds or certain antibiotics will make u sick and sometimes if u have taken more in more day than normal the next day it makes u sick especially if you have been prescribed nearve medication with it.sometimes i can take them dont matter mg or color they have all maken me sick but somedays i may get sick
Maybe instead of having to constantly trying to kill liver pain, you should be getting to the root of the problem by being good to your liver. It's enflamed, and it's overworking, trying to process/filter too many toxins. I have Hep C-so I know about livers. My brother and mother both died from liver failure-drinking. So, alcohol is the #1 most damaging thing you can do to your liver. Then it's medications like whats in Tylenol and Vicodin that is very damaging. Acetametephane-( probably messed up the spelling)-drink lots of bottled water to keep it flushed out. Drink alot of juice. For pain, take only Norco as they have alot less of the bad stuff like acetemiphen. Get it checked-good luck
Yes, I believe they add more of one of the inert ingredients or change some additive because I still have the same problem. The yellow narcotics never make me sick. The white ones always do.
I've been on pain meds since 2000. I was first given extra strength 750 Vicodin that I was cutting in half, because they were too strong and I was prescribed to take 3 a day. I got liver damage from them, so I found out about a vitamin named milk thistle. It helped heal my liver and prevent liver damage for us who suffer with daily pain and have to take pain and other meds. I was so afraid to continue taking Vicodin 750 that I asked my pain treatment doctor for 10mg yellow narcos. They were so much better and as others said worked quickly within 10-20 minutes. Last year they started me on the white ones and to me they were too strong to take a whole one in the daytime, so I cut mine in half for my daytime dosage. At night I take a whole one since my pain level is 10 plus, because l'm operating on only a half. Someone recently gave me some yellow to see if it would be to my advantage to switch back to the yellow ones. I was able to take a whole one that night. An hour later I had to take a half of the white one, because I was still in pain,so gave them back. I think I should try taking a whole yellow in the daytime to see if it has a different affect. I'll write another review after doing so.
I'm not a "regular", but i do have pain at times that the otc can't get under control...I'm actually a nurse of 20 yrs & am a strong supporter of generic prescriptions (saves $ & usually has the same effect) however... i have been prescribed lortab before & it made me so sick to my stomach that i couldn't take it & thought it was an allergy to hydrocodone....fast forward 8 yrs, i had surgery that my dr prescribed lortab elixer, i told him please don't, it makes me sick! Guess what...didn't make me sick at all! Couple yrs later got the yellow norco, was afraid again....NO STOMACH ISSUES WHAT SO EVER! So recently my pharmacy ran out of the yellow norco & asked if they could fill the remainder with white, i said sure. An hr after the very first white i got so sick! What the heck is up with that??? I have a reaction to one of the inactive ingredients?? No known allergies of any kind (other than south Texas weather! ) all day long i tell ppl that generic meds are just as good as "brand name", but now this has me wondering.....
I've taken whites years ago and were just as effective as yellow. However the is NEW white is a lie and will soon be exposed.
