Why am I not able to get my persciption filled at any pharmacy for this medication? They say it's not available.
What can else can take for the relief of IBS? Is there a similar remedy?

West-ward 140 has been identified as Belladonna alkaloids with phenobarbital atropine 0.0194 mg + hyoscyamine 0.1037 mg + phenobarbital 16.2 mg + scopolamine 0.0065 mg.

Based on my research, the FDA doesn't list this drug as being discontinued; nor does it list it under current drug shortages. So I can't really answer your first question as to why your pharmacies don't carry it.

However you can always report a shortage or supply issue online at: fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/DrugShortages/ucm142398.htm

There are plenty of other treatment options (natural, OTC, and prescription) for IBS, however I personally haven't come across anything similar to the drug mentioned above (primarily because it contains so many different active ingredients).

If you run a Google search on "medications for IBS", you should find a decent variety of alternative treatment options.

I hope this helps!
