Re: David (# 1)
I was given this pill as acto plus a pill to reduce sugar in your blood the pills description is Oval white pill marking is C27 I also checked with another drug company who says it's THIER pill marked C27 but it's
Capsule shaped that pill is for sugar
They were purchased over the counter. They contain Guaifenesin 400 mg; Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg according to the bottle.
Thanks for posting back! I was curious to know what they were. Were these purchased over the counter or did you need to have a prescription filled?
I ask because I noticed that sometimes the drug databases don't show certain over the counter medications that are store brand names like " Walgreens Cough Medicine" or like the one you have; however if it shows the active ingredients on the bottle I can look them up for you in a separate search.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but judging by the name of it, I am guessing it has the ingredient Guaifenesin, which is used to treat coughing. There may be one or more other ingredients in this medication.
The most recent bottle of "CVS Pharmacy Chest Congestion Relief PE" that I purchased contains white oblong pills labeled C 27. Formerly, these pills were larger and were labeled RCC GPE. (I still have a few left from the previous bottle).
Based on the description provided, this pill does not exist in any of the US drug databases; therefore I cannot determine anything, other than the possibility that you may have read the markings wrong, or that this pill was imported from another country.
Other than double checking the markings on the pill, I would suggest checking your sources of where you got the pill from. If it is in fact a valid source, I would personally go to your local pharmacy for clarification. If it is not from a valid source, odds are it's not the real thing or it is perhaps an old discontinued pill.
Either way, please be so kind to post back your findings so others can reference it for similar searches or to help you locate other possibilities.
