I ordered lipitor 10 mg as I always have and did not receive the normal eclipse shape pill. I receive a round pill imprinted with 10 on one side and ATC on the other side. Has anyone been aware of pfizer lipitor changing the shape of their 10 mg pill.

change in shape of lipitor brand tablets. Got new rx for 20mg lipitor and saw round shape so called canada where I get them from and they said this is the new shape for lipitor.

I can't find any information on a pill with that marking in any of our resources, but if it is from a foreign country, then that makes sense.
turtle, did you also order from Canada?
Lipitor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, it is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol.
Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and joint/muscle aches.

My dad had the same issue. Ordered from Canada, an organization called Global Health Supply. His pills are round and are 20 mg. Now he is complaining of numbness in his fingers and an odd urine smell. When he has ordered in the past the pills were oval as they are in the US. I am assuming they substituted another statin drug.

I live in England and my prescription Lipitor pills are now also round instead of elipitical. Since the change I have experianced muscle and joint problems including a strange creeping feeling on my skin. I have previously taken Lipitor for approximately 4 years without problem. Could it be a change in the filler that is causing the problem?

If they are foreign tablets, it is going to be difficult for us to discover information on them, since we are based in the U.S.
However, if anyone else can post back with the markings from the tablets they received, I will gladly see if I can find any information on them for you.

From what I am finding, these are a foreign 40mg Atorvastatin tablet, manufactured by Pfizer. These are commonly sold in various countries, such as Australia and Turkey.
They are dispensed by legitimate pharmacies there to fill prescriptions and, since they are from Pfizer, I can only assume they are exactly what is claimed, because they are a company that is known to be reliable.

I have been receiving the regular shape (long oval) until now. This new shape concerns me.
All came from Canada Meds.
Are these legit ? Why the change ? Are there side issues ?

morning. Switched to taking at night...no more nausea.
I would say the pills are definitely not the original recipe
