I went to the clinic and i was given an all white contraceptive pill. I want to know if they work the same as the most common mixed (red and white). Thank you

Hi Fudua,

Do you what brand it was that they had given you? Only asking because I think it really depends on the brand/generic or manufacturer you're comparing it with. In general they all work very similarly for the same purpose, but many of these oral contraceptives have a variation of pink, blue, brown, and/or white pills in their blister packets; each with active or inactive ingredients. So it would be difficult to determine how each one might affect you until you actually take them. More often than not I see posts stating that the brands are better than the generics, but these types of medications can affect each person differently regardless.

I hope this helps!
