I HAVE BEEN ON OXYCODONE ANDHYDRO 0MORPHONE FOR OVER A YEAR. JUST HAD SURGERY ON KNEE. ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON GAVE ME A REFERRAL AND BECAUSE OF ANOTHER REFERRAL MY DR DISCHARGED ME. DOES ANY 0NE KNOW OF A PAIN MANAGEMENT DR THAT WILL PRESCRIBE HIGH DOSES OF OXYCODONE

I know exactly where you can fill 250 in Tucson. Walgreens on la Canada and Lambert. The one I've used the past 6 years is ina & la cholla & I get the same amount. Also Pantano & Speedway or Broadway I can't remember which one it is. Another walgreen on River & 1st has a sympathetic staff. I actually need to find a new Dr too so if you've any suggestions I'm all ears if you need any more info email me {edited for privacy}

Lucky you. I need it bad for legit pain and my doctor won't prescribe it he prescribed me something else that's actually stronger but makes me sick to my stomach so I can't take it. I hate that drug abusers have messed it up for those of us who really need it.

I have bottles and bottles of Oxycontin that I have been prescribed by Doctors over the last few months! I am trying to figure-out a way to properly dispose of them, as I know flushing them is not good, or they say not to put them in the trash for some reason? I never have a problem filling my prescriptions, and have only been taking half the recommended dosage.

It appears that the most recent posting on this subject was in May..... Now in August, I am having the same problem. I have spent the last 3 days going from one pharmacy after another with no luck! I even spent one whole day in oro valley, marana, dove mountain and catalina. Considering going to Sierra Vista, but would hate to make that drive for nothing.
My husband has a a script for 30mg oxycodone due to 3 bad discs in his neck one of which ruptured and now has a lot of scar tissue, and that is after having had surgery many years ago that didnt help all! He has extended release medication that we were able to fill, but still has really bad breakthrough pain and really needs the immediate release to be able to perform his physically demanding job and I'm starting to worry he wont get it! There is no history of abuse or early fills or anything. Pharmacies just dont have it, except cvs and they refuse new customers at every single one I went to!
Cf I'm so frustrated that NOW the government wants to regulate and control these meds when they did nothing ti stop the abuse out there until AFTER it reached epidemic proportions and they only seem to be hurting people with a legitimate need for relief!
Any recommendations or ideas out there?

I have upper back and neck pain and just recently returned to work after taking a month off for medical leave because It has been unbareable. My leave was unpaid, but I had no choice. I can't sleep, I'm always in pain, and really hope to find relief soon.

I work for a major grocery store pharmacy and I can tell you that the DEA and the state board of pharmacy are demanding pharmacists stop filling suspicious prescriptions and most stores have adopted strict guidelines. There have been two pain clinics in Tucson that have ruined it for most everyone (Embrace and Wellbeing). Because of their excessive writing practices and dangerous combinations (Oxy IR 30mg + Ambien + Phentermine + Xanax + Soma), pharmacist now pull filling history on every patient with high dose pain med from the Controlled Substance Prescription Monitoring Program in AZ. The true patients are being delayed valuable medicine because of the increased number of fraudulent or dangerous rx's in recent years.

I have had the same issue the last two times, frys said they won't fill anything over 80 mg a day or something like that, walgreens has to verify with every sibgle doctor before they can fill, and most pharmacies are out! I had never had an issue in the past. Last month I went to get my prescription from my dr. Early explaining that every pharmacy has had to order them for their regular patients, well, he thought I was trying to pull a fast one on him and said that would be the last refill he would be writing me and that I needed to find a new Dr. I even gave him the name of the pharmacist who requested that I get my proscription written early so that when it came time to fill it it would be available for me. Now I'm attempting to taper of, but need to find a physician that writes for these medications. Any referals would be appreciated!

I think we all having same iusse I went to 12 pharmcys today and they all say there on back order except CVS who had them but would not fill the qunity the jerk said there is no way I would need that much for pain when I asked where he went to med school and would he like to see my ct scans and MRI he told me to leave or he would call the cops are u kidding me I'm former sherif with two shelles still setting I'm my lower back so I have had it with CVS I don't care if they are last pharmcy in world so anyway if anyone in tucson finds some please post

me, too. I have been to Walgreens (five stores), Price Club, Fry's, CVS, K-Mart and a privet shop. No one can fill my scripts. I want to die from the pain. I have a great doctor, I work and have my own insurance but they most of them treat me like I'm trying to get away with something wrong. If I can't walk, I can't work!

Did you ever have any luck with your parents search? I too am dealing with the same problem right now. I'm experiencing the same replies you have listed from every pharmacy I visit. I have been on this medication for a little over two years. I was hit by a drunk driver on my motorcycle. I need this medication to function through my day. Without it I am in severe pain and unable to work or take care of my family. I did not choose this for my life, I am not a recreational drug user. I am however becoming quite sick of the way I'm spoke to and treated at our local Tucson Pharmacies. Please let me know if you were able to find any help on this Tucson problem. Were you ever able to resolve this? I hope you were able to. But my guess is probably not. My parents both get oxycodone, and they said they are being turned away at every pharmacy they try. Even in Phoenix!! They all give different excuses. They don't have them. They're not comfortable, etc. No one will give an actual straight answer.. One that has been coming up increasingly though, is that they are not filling my parents doc's prescriptions anymore. That is, also for a number of reasons. But a common one is, because they think the scripts they come across of his, are to large. To which I just shake my head. Because my parents have been patients of his (a pain management doctor), and on this medicine for awhile now, and there has never been a problem like this. And they're going through a whole lot of pain now because someone up the chain decided they were gonna decide what everyone needed. I don't know what to do for them. I wish I knew where to take this to, because this is garbage... This is just wrong....

It's generally due to the mandatory manufacturing limits, once manufacturers have hit their limit for the year, they can no longer produce new product until they receive their new allotment amount after the new year.
Have you tried seeing if you can get an alternative medication in the meantime? That may make it easier to get a prescription filled.

Phone numbers and addresses are included in the list after you verify your zip code; so I would suggest visiting a number of them to see if anyone can fill your prescription (calling them generally isn't recommended, as they are trained to say no on the phone if a stranger is asking for narcotics). I would also consider looking at online pharmacies as a last resort if you can't find anything locally.
