Which Pharmacies Stock Sandoz Generic Oxycontin In Melbourn, Australia

Hi, I have been suffering in pain for years. The reformulated oxycontin does not seem to work as well as the old ones. I am prescribed 10mg tablets. In Australia there is now Sandoz generic oxycontin. I would like to try to see if it works better like the old ones. My question is does anyone know a pharmacy in Melbourne Australia that stocks Sandoz generic oxycontin?

Hello jonsey from Melbourne. Any pharmacy can order the Sandoz generic Oxycontin for you, you just have to have the correct script. They do come in a 10mg dose. Your doctor, when writing the script, has to make sure NOT to put a 'tick' in the box that says 'no brand substitution permitted' so you will be able to obtain the generic brand, otherwise you will automatically be given the reformulation. Discuss this with your doctor or pain specialist, if you have any problem finding a pharmacy to supply, get your doctor to ring them or ask the doctor to write a note to the phamacist saying you are to be given the generic brand. If you see a regular GP who knows you and also if you go to the same pharmacy all the time, there should be no problems. Make sure you explain to the doctor that you have been having side effects and lessened pain relief. Some doctors are not even aware of the available Sandoz generic, so you could be helping other patients also by informing the doctor that the generic works just like the original but without all the awful side effects. Also, if you feel your pain is not under control, consult a private pain specialist if you are not already doing so. A pain specialist will also help you with the correct brand of medication for pain relief. Good luck and please do post how you get on.
