Which Is Stronger Oxycodone 5/325 Or Hydroc 10/325?

I have been prescribed both Oxycodone and Hydrocodone, but can't tell if one is stronger than the other. Which one is stronger?

5mg oxycodone, according to the equivalence table I have in front of me, is equal to about 20mg hydrocodone. Therefore the combination drug containing oxycodone should be roughly twice as strong as the one containing hydrocodone.
These drugs are only available in the UK in their pure form, not adulterated with paracetamol like yours. As I have written elsewhere, I really don't see the point of the combos. Unless you are suffering a fever, in which case paracetamol will ease the body temperature. But why take the non-narcotic unless you really need it? It is a very toxic and cumulative drug responsible for a lot of deaths. If I were you I'd ask for a prescription for 10mg hydrocodone without the apap. Or 5mg oxycodone capsules. What do you require the paracetamol for, anyway?

I have severe upper back pain fibromafilia also I was on vikoden 10/660 can't stand the pain was just changed to oxycodone 5 mg will that help take the pain away any better?

Everyone is different and my experience is that oxycodone is twice as strong as hydro, ergo 5 would equal ten.
Hydro is the weakest of the narcotics that actually work (tramadol is an opiate that doesnt work for most). It is also the easiest to wean off of IMHO.

Hi, I have fibromyalgia and severe back pain. I'm taking 1(10-325) pill of oxycodone every 4 hour and I still have pain. Can I also take hydrocodon5-325 along with the oxycodone?

I know this is an old thread but in case anyone currently reads it.....

OXYCODONE IS 1.5 x STRONGER THAN HYDROCODONE.......IE: 5mg of oxycodone/APAP is equivalent to 7.5 MG hydrocodone. 10mg of oxycodone/APAP is equivalent to 15mg ( 2 7.5mg pills) of hydrocodone. And so on.

It could very well hep. The 5 refers to the mg of oxycodone and the 325 refers the strength of aspirin or other pain medication which will have an adverse reaction to your stomach over a period of time.

Anyone who has been on pain meds will tell you oxycodone is much stronger than hydrocodone
Hydrocodone just became a c2 a few years ago do to the kids who ruin it for the real people who are suffering in pain.
