Which Lo Loestrin Fe Pills In The Pack Are Inactive?

My doctor put me on Lo Loestrin to regulate my periods. Sometimes I go three months without one and then go a month continually having one. My question is this: which pills in the Lo Loestrin pack are inactive? I've heard that if you skip the inactive ones, you can skip periods. Please help. Really tired, cramping, and drained here....

Hi Amy,

According to NIH.gov, each Lo Loestrin (Fe) blister pack of 28 tablets contain:

24 (active) blue, round tablets imprinted with “WC” on one side and “421” on the other and each containing 1 mg norethindrone and 10 mcg ethinyl estradiol

2 (active) white, hexagonal tablets imprinted with “WC” on one side and “422” on the other and each containing 10 mcg ethinyl estradiol

2 (non-hormonal placebo) brown, round tablets imprinted with “WC” on one side and “624” on the other and each containing 75 mg ferrous fumarate
