I actually can't find anything listed under the name Vanco.

What country is it from?

The one most commonly used in the U.S. is an over the counter product called Vick's Vapo Rub.

It's used to help loosen congestion and improve breathing, when someone is suffering from cold related symptoms.

Vanco Vapor Rub was made in Gothenburg, Nebraska U.S.A. I prefer it to Vicks or Mentholatum rub...
I think maybe they are out of business as I can not find anybody that carries it!
It smells great & I am almost out!

Vanco vapor rub was made by John Myer a retired drug store owner in Gothenburg, Ne. He passed away about 20 years ago and took the secret with him. My mom worked with him and he would never let anyone see him made it as far as we know.

I grew up on a farm near Brady, NE. In the late 40's Vanco was made in Brady, Nebraska. I was told it was a secret formula and later in the 50's & 60's Joe Meyers of Meyer drug in Gothenburg was making it and was still a secret. It was a wonderful product and wish I could find some today. As a child if I would wake up in the night all plugged up and could not breath mom would heat a small portion of it up on the wood stove and have us breath it in. It worked wonders and fast. After that she would place some it on a warm towel and wrap it around our necks and send us back to bed. It was fantastic.

Yes great product it was made in Gothenburg NE or Brady NE by a local Pharmacist.
