I work a night shift so that means I'm a night owl. I wake up at about 11 and take a pill. I work all day into the night. if I'm going by the 12-hour standard that would put me at 11 p.m. To take another pill. I'm usually in bed by about one or two. Does it make sense to take another pill when you're just going to sleep in 2 or 3 hours?

You should follow your doctor's instructions for taking it, so if you've been told to take it twice a day, then please do so. The reason is because many medications need to be maintained in your body at consistent levels, in order for them to be effective. So, time of day actually doesn't matter.
According to the FDA typical side effects of Belviq may possibly include: nausea, dizziness, anorexia, body aches and flu like symptoms.
