Hi Dave,
Based on my research, the dosing and administration guidelines state the following information regarding proper timing and application:
"Starting AXIRON dose is 60 mg of testosterone (1 pump actuation of 30mg of testosterone to each axilla), applied once daily, at the same time each morning. Apply to clean, dry intact skin of the axilla, not to any other parts of the body including the abdomen or genitals"
Although it mentions that you should take it "at the same time each morning", I don't think there's anything wrong with taking it in the evening hours. But if you're used to using it in the morning, I'm not sure whether or not the switch in timing would effect your testosterone (hormone) levels. That may be something to discuss with your doctor if it's a big concern to you.

39 yo male. I started a month ago with a T-level of 228. Was on 2 pumps daily, one to each arm. Tested a month later and I am up to 368. Didn't notice too much of a difference. Went back to Dr and am now doing 4 pumps daily, 2 to each arm. Hope that will bring me into a range of at least 600 to see how I do there. Considering switching to self injections due to the cost related with Axiron.

I started taking Axiron when my Testosterone level was at 216. Was on it for 4 months at 3 applications per day and tested my level again. Instead of going up, it went way down to 150! How do you explain that?? Even the doctor didnt know! I did take it at night instead of the morning. Does it really make that much of a difference when you take it, morning or night?

When you introduce testosterone into your body, your body stops making testosterone. So your lower levels is because your not absorbing enough of the Axiron. Basically your dropping your natural test levels to zero and relying on artificial test to raise above your previous levels.
