There should be an expiration date on the bottle, once past that date, the best thing to do is dispose of it and obtain a new supply, if needed, from your doctor, or dentist.

However, if you did not finish the full course of treatment originally, that may be why the infection has returned. Additionally, if you did not have the original underlying problem corrected, which caused the infection, that could also cause it to return.

The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

... and if you don't have enough left to finish a full course of treatment, you may find yourself in the same boat, again, soon.... plus, you still need to have the original issue corrected.

How long has this been going on?
