When Can I Start Suboxone After Taking Methadone? (Page 2)

I'm was hooked on methadone, WHEN CAN I START TAKING SUBOXONE? I tried it after 1 1/2 days and ALMOST DIED! I've was taking 80 mg of methamphetamine for 6 years... I was so sick from taking the suboxone I thought I was going to die!!! Should I wait 2 days. then take the suboxone? (Which I took twice and am scared to death of) I want off of methadose! I can't affort to buy one more pill!!! Will the suboxon work, and if one makes me feel all screwed up (VERY VERY SICK) should I take a second suboxon and when. PLEASE...someone who knows and had got off methadone with suboxone answer me! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

I'm on same ride. 80mg methadone to suboxan. DEA shut down my Dr. Anyhow, I took the Subs too soon. You really need to taper down to 40 or 30 mg of the dones though. I quit completely used heroin to help then vicodin. 4 days is unrealistic to wait to try another dose of Sub. I've been off methadone 8 days heroin 3 days vicodine 2r hrs and I tried subs again today and WAHLAH!!! It flipped did not put me into an exorcism this time, and it took all my demons away in a matter of 20 min. You should be ok to take nust after 48 hrs of your last methadone intake. 72 if your real tough. But that's an eternity. LISTEN IMPORTANT!!!! You need Subutex!!! It's Suboxane without the methadone blockers and can be ingested immediately, with no threat of prejackulated detox that suboxane is famous for. People coming of dones should use Subutex NOT suboxane only the Dr don't even understand this yet.

Wait till ur in wd then try small piece. ..work it in u slow...or it will throw u into seveare withdrawl.weird i kno but thats how it wrks

Once you've already taken suboxone You may as well take more because of the narcan has taken its toll. You're not going to get any sicker you're just going to get better Once the market has cleared your receptors You need to fill ithem up with bupenorphine. So 45 minutes to an hour you can take more no problem I did. Good luck

See..i dont get that...the laws should enforce a step down plan to get you back off....maybe people need to unite and file claims thru your goveners office or maybe a lawer that sues over bad drugs...never kno till its tryed.

If you have ever felt this...you would not want to keep it going....to have every muscle in your body jumping tightening and pain shooting thru you adding more DOES NOT FIX IT...IF YOU CAN TAPER DOWN...you can use a quarter of piece for 2 days..then half for 2 then three quarter for 3 days...now your ready for a whole one if you push it in you the pain receptors are gonna whoop in you...THIS IS A WARNING...I DON'T LIKE HEARING I WAS RIGHT... CAUSE I KNOW YOU JUST PUT YOUR SELF THRU HELL...IF YOU CAN GET A FEW PERKS TO TIDE YOU THRU THAT 72 HRS ALL THE BETTER FOR YOU....THE PERKS AND STRIP GET ALONE FAIRLY WELL....BUT REMEMBER...EVERYONE'S DIFFERENT.

Simply put...their pissed that you want off..no money frm you kno more means less jingle in their pockets...stop kiddin yourself...they dont give a rats ass.a doc saves your life cause dead people dont needs doctors.

GOOD I HOPE IT HURTS, I know u feel like your dying, then that pain will remind u to get clean and stay clean.. good luck. Only u can change your life for the better. You f***ed it up and it didn't happen overnight. Rehab is going to be long and painful but in the end it will be worth millions to u if u get clean.

I wish you the best on your journey bruh I'm in a methadone program also,I'm on 80mg for 6yrs now and don't plan on stopping at this time it's what has saved me from the streets,and I'm able to take care of my blind mother who is recovering from a stroke so I need this to do what I have to daily for my mom I'm thankful for the drug.

You should lower your dose down slowly to 30mg and be on that dose for 2 weeks before stopping for 1-3 days and switching to subs. I hope this helps anyone looking to switch. It is how my doc had me do it and it was fine; a little uncomfortable but no major detox.

Hi, I've been on methadone for about 10 yrs. Subutex, helps with withdrawing and wheening off of the methadone. Also, some ppl take it as a long time treatment option like they do with methadone.. Everyone body is different.. I personally love the medicine but I'm going to get off it Bcus I have gained SOOOO much weight. Hope it helped

I had to do the samething before and if u don't wait the 4 day minimum you will be hating life again. Your going to feel bad but its better then taking subs early

If ur sister is misusing it then yes. She's gonna look that way.. I have been on it for ten years. Not one dirty urine. No triggers. And most of all NO CRAVINGS. Everybody is different. Stop judging it based on what u see. Do ur damn research on it before u start talking bad about it.
