What's The Difference Between Percocet And Oxycodone

The doctor prescribed me Percocet and the pharmacy gave me the generic which is oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-325. What's the difference in the 2? Also idk why the pharmacy gave me the generic, can they change it?

Under current U.S. laws, your pharmacy has to give you the generic, if one is available, unless you are paying cash for a medication and ask them to give the name brand.

Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, so you have received the correct medication.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I have cervical stenosis of the neck with a bulging disc. I also have spinal compression and severe pain from the tail bone, lower back, pelvic bones and hip joints. My doctor has finally ordered a bone scan. I am presently taking Percocet 5/325 with hardly any pain relief. My doctor is aware of this but won't change meds. Anything I can do to alleviate pain ?

Ask your Nd for a drug called Hysingla. It is a hydrocodone derivative and lasts 24 hrs.
