Hi Wayne,

Based on my research, the letters at the end of the medications are abbreviations for the pharmaceutical companies they were manufactured by. I believe that AMN stands for Amneal Pharmaceuticals, and MAL stands for Mallinckrodt Group. These two companies may have chosen to use different inactive ingredients in their formulations, that should be the only difference.
