What To Do With Percocet When You Find It Wet...

Do what I had to do in a similar situation and toss it down the toilet. If its been wet and it has a time-release coating, you might even die by taking it and forcing your kidneys & liver to metabolize it too quickly into your system. *Especially* if it's an opiate drug, as they can depress your' respiratory system and render you (quite literally) breathless, since your' body has no capacity to breathe when you're in such a drug-induced and/or possible comatose state and you will typically asphyxiate to death while unconscious, when such type of accidentally unintentional overdose occurs. Plus, taking it in any modified form is actually called 'abuse' by your doctor nowadays, as drug-seekers, and addicts have garnered the federal governments national attention to stop opiate and other scheduled meds from being diversioned onto the streets. Almost everyone out there thinks it's just fine to 'loan' some 'friend whose complaining of some kind of pain', one or two of your own personally prescribed pain meds, however it is in no way legal and lots of incarcerated prisoners found out the hard way, simply doing such (and even with the best intentions), but remember the saying printed on every pharmaceutical container which states, "... Federal law prohibits the transfer of medication...", so yeah, you can skip right over jail and right into a federal prison, and that applies to even only ONE pill. I've had to personally take pain medications for an incurable nerve disease and people KNOW not to ask me for them, as they know my views on the subject. Additionally, people who abuse/misuse prescriptions only make it more difficult for ACTUAL patients who NEED their pain meds in order to be able to function daily. When in doubt - throw it OUT.

There are no time released formulations of Percocet, it contains Acetaminophen, and Oxycodone, and is only available in a regular release formulation.

The FDA does provide guidelines to properly dispose of medications.

Additionally, yes it is illegal to share, sell, or give away medications that have been prescribed for your use.
