I have been taking Oxycodone as prescribed, 30 mgs. per day/ 3 times a day. I can't stand having to sleep all day. When I wake up, I am very depressed. I suffer from Treatment Resistant Depression. My pain went from a 5 to close to 10 and walking is even difficult. A family member hired a cleaning lady and someone to do other tasks for me, but I feel terrible having that paid for. I need a new medication.

Hello, Candy! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.
That can be a side effect, as listed by the FDA, that some people experience from Oxycodone, along with nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation.
It can really vary from person to person, for instance, I didn't have that problem with Oxycodone, but I did experience it when taking Morphine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
The only thing you can really do is speak to your doctor about trying something else, to see if it works better for you, without causing your to be sleepy all the time.

candy unfortunatley most pain meds have that sedating effect. if its making you that sleepy try breaking it in half in the am, that way you dont go right back to bed,you can always supplement your pain meds with tylenol motrin ot aleve as long as you arent getting to much tylenol. also make sure you are getting the right dose of antidepressants for you. accept the help while you need it sounds like your family cares.
