I am a legit patient with many issues some including 2 surgerys on my spine.. 3 disc bulges, 5 herniated disc and more.. I have been on medicaid for 3 years now and they have paid for all of my oxycodone.. if that isnt legit enough i dont know what is.. when the state gov is actually paying and keeping track of your scripts what more proof could i offer.. but now it seems i can not find a pharmacy that will fill any oxycodone.. I am a local in Jacksonville also.. please if anyone can help please.. i do not abuse or distribute i just take what i need to help me be active with my 3 children and live a normal life.. now im going through withdrawls and beyond that if i beat the withdrawls then im having trouble getting out the bed or walking or even sitting too long.. its not a good life .. the medicine really does help me live a normal productive life.. please if anyone can help.. any ideas at all my family and I would be more then grateful thank you
It's ridiculous! I've been filling my oxycodone script at the same pharmacy for over a year. Suddenly they are at their limit and can't fill them until the first of the month. The only reason I take this kind of medicine is because I can't take acetaminophen. It's crazy that it's easier to fill morphine. I use the same doc, same pharmacy and never try to manipulate the system. I have an illness that is ravaging my body and I'm in constant pain. This medicine isn't for recreational for me. The abusers are probably the only people not suffering!
My fiance was in a wreck in 2009. In that accident he lost his leg, the other has metal rods and both his hips had to be rebuilt. We have been getting his perscription filled at the same pharmacy for over a year and the last 2 months they have been telling him that it is the manufacturer. I dont know if you can help or not, we are at our wits end. He is in SO MUCH PAIN and we have checked just about every where.
A friend of mine gets the same drug and finds it at Hali days University Blvd on the Southside area. She has ran into the same problem if they r out. Good Luck.

I go through the something. I have a regular pharmacy that told me today that they couldn't assure me that that would have the meds for me on the 4th. I suffer from lupus , RA, and Cornic Pancreatitis and back injuries. Its like we live in a third world country
Thanks
Ms. Carter
Someone needs to report in it. I live 2hrs south of atl and am in same predicament here. Used to be able to get entire script for under two hundred n had no problem getting every month now i have to break my one script into two or three n getting it that way n the price gouging when i can find them costs me upwards 800.00 or more a month now. Iv had to split other meds up n not take other meds i need daily just so i can pay for my pain meds that are for legit reasons. Without them tho i may not be able to get out of bed in the mornings n live my life. We need help getting our medication. Especially LEGIT customers. People in these pharmacies look at me all the time like im an addict or getting these for some other reason like abusing or selling. I am not and need my prescribed meds from my Dr so i can live my life. The pharmacist should not be able make that decision for me. Also thank you to those few who treat me like a patient and not an addict!
I would make the switch to Oxycontin like I did. I was on Oxycodone for years, and had the same experience as everyone else. The very last pharmacies in Jax to carry it was the CVS and neighboring Walgreens on the corner of Atlantic Avenue at 1st St in Atlantic Beach.
Then they stopped.
The Oxycontin ER - is derived from the Roxicontin "gummy bear" system that suspends the drug in a hard chewy medium to prevent abuse. I originally was on a high dose one or two a day old-school Oxycontin pills and when the dope heads were smashing them up and making Hillbilly H, Florida's AG Pam "Pill Mill" Bondi made a name for herself in War on Pill Mills.
My main gripe with Oxycontin was the time it took to get to peak dosage. I took about one pill every 12-hours which had a slow release. You would need to wait about an hour before a sufficient amount of metabolized Oxy was in your blood stream to where you could really feel it make difference. But, it would not reach peak doze until another hour later and then level off for about 8 hours, during which it was quite effective as an analgesic, and the ride back down and out took another two hours.
Go with three 20mg Oxycontin pills per day or two 30mgs. Same daily doze. You'll get used to it if you start your second pill during the last hour of the previous one. These gummy bears can be split with a pill cutter and the split pill does not change the way the drug is released. But it's time in the blood stream is lower than a whole pill and there is a faster decline.
I know how you feel. You can try a pharmacy on lem turner called Jax pharm. they will sometimes if you have enough prescriptions usually about 6 or so they will fill the oxycodone for you if you are legit. You must have more non narcotic scripts than ones considered narcotics something to do with the law. They will accept Medicaid also. Now there is a new place in Yulee florida a new pharmacy but don't know much about them you can try but do know the one on lem turner did if you are legit. Try them.
I've been unable to find my medication in over a month and I'm feeling more hopeless by the day. I'm an prescribed oxycodone 30mg and Ms contin ER 60mg. After years of trying everything except pain meds, I started taking percocet a couple of years ago. While it offered release of my pain I was worried about the acetaminophen so after trial and error my doctor and I found a regimen that gives me quality of life with the least impactful side effects. After not being able to find my meds I went to my scheduled appointment and my doctor cut down my medications by around 30-40%. He said he was required to because of how long I went without. Doesn't matter that my life has been hell. I thought maybe I'll have better luck with a much smaller amount yet it's the same story. I don't even want to get out of bed and go through the degrading feeling of being forced to almost beg for help from these almighty pharmacists only to be lied to or patronized and still turned away. Fortunately I have an amazing son that makes life worth living even if in excruciating pain. It does kill me though when I have to tell him that daddy is in too much pain to play but thankfully he understands or at least pretends to to make me feel emotionally. I would love to find a group of people to stage protests at the pharmacies that treat chronic pain sufferers the worst. I promise you that if any of the pharmacist's loved ones suffered from chronic pain they would break their back to get them their medication no matter if they carried it or not or only had enough for their regular patients. How do you become a regular if no one will help you out in the first place?
THANKS TO ADDICTS, OXYCODONE IS VERY HARD TO FIND, THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS & LEGITIMATE PATIENTS ARE VIEWED AS SUSPICIOUS NO MATTER HOW WELL WE DRESS OR HOW CALM WE ACT. (THE STORES WON'T EVEN HOLD THE SCRIPT UNTIL THE SUPPLY COMES IN). HERE ARE PRICES: WALMART: $70 (WITH DISCOUNT CARD); TARGET, WINN DIXIE AND WALGREENS: $175; PUBLIX: $240. DOES MEDICAID/MEDICARE PAY THESE? NOW, I'M TOLD THEY WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT A DISCOUNT CARD FOR THE UNINSURED. I WANT TO SHARE THIS INFO WITH MY DOCTOR, THE MEDIA AND THE "AUTHORITIES" TO LET THEM KNOW WE SUFFER JUST TRYING TO GET RELIEF!
Noel.... if you really do Work for the TV Station. Then why hasn't It been on Television?? This is a epidemic Now Disabled People are Suffering In Pain Because The DEA Has Put So Much Fear in Pharmacist. They would Just Rather Tell You A lie Than Fill A Legal Prescribed Prescription. So Now We Have The DEA Making Healthcare Choices. Only My Doctor Should Make. The DEA Has Caused So Much Suffering. And nobody Cares
Baptist only fills prescriptions for you if your dr is in the same building that particular baptist pharmacy is in. ie hospital pharmacy location: only hospital dr's. san marco location, only drs in that building.
I am in the same boat but my pain management said baptist hospital down town has them. Hope this helps!!

Lifetime pain management patient can't get oxycodone filled in Jacksonville.
Your not going to get any kind of hydrocodone in FL. The best you can get is hydromofone. Witch is a type of morfine.
