I am a legit patient with many issues some including 2 surgerys on my spine.. 3 disc bulges, 5 herniated disc and more.. I have been on medicaid for 3 years now and they have paid for all of my oxycodone.. if that isnt legit enough i dont know what is.. when the state gov is actually paying and keeping track of your scripts what more proof could i offer.. but now it seems i can not find a pharmacy that will fill any oxycodone.. I am a local in Jacksonville also.. please if anyone can help please.. i do not abuse or distribute i just take what i need to help me be active with my 3 children and live a normal life.. now im going through withdrawls and beyond that if i beat the withdrawls then im having trouble getting out the bed or walking or even sitting too long.. its not a good life .. the medicine really does help me live a normal productive life.. please if anyone can help.. any ideas at all my family and I would be more then grateful thank you

The DEA let all the pillmills slide until so many people were dying so now Michele Leonhart in all her infinite wisdom suddenly decides to completely shut all the oxycodone down without any consideration as to who actually needed pain medicine and who just wanted something to sell or get high on Watch how crazed the head of the DEA is on You-Tube, Google Michele Leonhart gets grilled.

Dear Chanel 47 I have multiple problems with about every part of my body I have been on Roxicodone for many years and due to the abuse of other people it has hurt the ones that really need it I even have letters from my doctors advising them of my condition and that I am not a drug addict or alcohol abuser nor do I have a problem keeping my script straight I have been on pain medications since 1997 when I was in a horrific car accident and spent close to two years in the hospital and nursing homes while they put me back togeather I have had the same doctors for over 12 years I suffer in pain 24/7 I can only sleep for two hours at a time even with a sleeping pill the most sleep I get is 4 hours at a time so you can imagine the fatigue I feel on a daily basis and it takes me forever to get ready to go somewhere so I try to plan my day for a 1pm appointment I must get up at 5am because I have to sit and stand for 2 hours before I can start moving around I live by myself and oxycodone was the only thing that was helping me move around and get chores done. I am in so much pain I can not sit or stand for over 20 minutes sometimes less before I have to lay down on my right side (because the left side hurts to put any preasure on it) for 30 minutes in order to get the pain to settle down enough to get up and try to do something again. It put a lot of preasure on my 25 year marriage so I had to leave before I drove him crazy because he could not take the sadness and me saying all the time i hurt so I could not fix dinner or just the vibration of the vacume cleaner will put me down for a day and when you are in this much pain unfourtently no one understands it and before my accident I was the same way I never understood it and was against people getting medicare or medicade and I still am against law suits that win people million of dollars when really they may end up with 2K and the lawyers get rich. Now I understand I have had 12 surgeries and was scheduled for 2 more plus Chemo Therapy before I joined pain management in 2000. And I can glady say I was able to put off those surgeries and Chemo, however I had to have an arterial artery stent put in my heart in 2009. It took 3 years to pay it off and the syptoms are coming back again. I decided to let nature take its course. While I was going through the sugeries I picked up Hep c I am supposed to be going to a heart and liver specialist but I can not afford any more care and keep a roof over my head I only eat once a day to keep cost down and it may only be a pack of romain noodles. I have lost a lot of weight but I can not afford new clothes so I try pinning them or a friend of mine finds clothes being thrown away and that it what I am wearing Thank god for him but I had to get rid of that friend due to he was stealing from me. I really don't have any friends anymore nor any family support or children. On the outside looking in you would think I had it made I am not bad looking and clean up well but the only time I do this is when I have an appointment I must go to the doctors at least 2-5 times a month I live off Social Security and alimony and do not qualify for any extra help due to my 401k's and owning property but if I cash in my 401k's I loose 70% due to fees and tax's I am only 52 years old. I have good credit and will do anything to keep it that way even if it means going a month without groceries. I am what they call undernourished. My medical bills last year where 14k this includes lab work, medication and doctor co pay's I I have a dog and maintence on the house I have to keep up as well. My credit cards have saved me so many times I can not count. I use my credit cards during the donut whole times one of my medications even half price is $230. I depend on my tax check to pay down my credit cards and I always pay more than my minimum due but they are still climbing fourtently due to my good credit I have high lines, I always paid them off in full when I was married. I am not going to sell the house my ex husband lives in for we would never be able to obtain that property again and it is almost paid off I know I am not budging much but why should I give my money away in this economy to wind up having to go on Medicare which allot of doctors will not take Medicade non that I am seeing now won't and i am limited to what they can do for me because Medicare will not cover it I have 10k in dental work that needs to be done but you could not tell it from looking at me because the problems are under my caps which all have to be redone I went to the dentist in February and they told me I had 9 cavaties all hidding under my crowns I had 5 crowns put on by a dentist I saw from 1978 to 2010 he did the crowns and within 6 months I had cavaties there where there were none before it took me a long time to pay off the 5 crowns about 3 years all my money goes to doctors my house and dog. My furniture is 20 years old and I don't see any new furniture in the future I keep it clean and it still looks good. O.K. now I better stop I am going into the bLAh blAH BLAH

I was shocked reading all these posts about oxycodone. I thought I was the only one being treated like a drug addict. I live in Gainesville, Ga. and ever since I moved here in Nov. 2011 I have been treated like a drug addict every where I go. I have osteoarthritis which is very, very painful and I think it is terrible how these pharmacies and some of these doctors treat people like me who have legitimate pain. I hope you do an expose on these pharmacies and doctors who are so mean and hateful to people like me who hurt so bad who get treated like they are criminals all because they are in horrific pain.

I wrote this july 3rd post #36
DEA Administrator - Michele Leonhart - Called Out by Rep. Jared Polis - Watch on youtube, This women is ruining lives here in florida Now I understand the comment every druggist gives when you have a script for oxycodone it is just "I don't feel comfortable filling this for you" My family my friends and myself have all heard this EXACT same line from workers in walgreens cvs and all the other stores. Now I know why the cleaning up of the pill-mills was done so fast and furiously. Where law abiding people in severe pain are treated like criminals only because they're in pain.

I'v had low bone density for yrs. This detcted by a freaky breaking of bone in my foot. I've had a much more severe and painful incident since. I also have been determined disabled by social security and multiple physicians. My main short acting med is roxicodone 30mg.This current regimen is so far effective and helps with attempting to try and work again. But It is extremely difficult to find the oxy30s, and thereby destroying my ability to follow physical therapy and my hopes for getting better.

I've been trying to get my prescriptions filled in Jacksonville for the last 2 days with no success. I stopped by the Walgreens on Normandy near 295 early in the morning and after handing the pharmacists my prescriptions she looked through them and then told me she did not feel comfortable filling them even though I've filled at that same store before and have been a Walgreens customer for years. I asked for an explanation and was told that she didn't need to give me one. She would not even give me her name so I took her picture which she actually posed for like it's a joke that shes messing with peoples lives. I've been reading tons of posts and know there are a lot of people in the same situation being treated disrespectfully. We really all need to form an alliance and boycott these stores that treat US as criminals even though they are the ones fighting criminal charges. People should just start posting their stories on all the social networking sites and complain and spread the word via Twitter and facebook. I'm sick and tired of these over paid under trained glorified pill counters abusing the power they unfortunately have. How can a multinational multi bullion dollar corporation whose specialty is selling prescriptions always say they are out or backorder yet some hole in the wall pharmacy like Beaches pharmacy on San Jaun always have them but they charge over $10 a pill.

FYI: The CVS pharmacy's in the Green Cove Springs\Fleming Island area only carry the 15mgs, that's what we are being told anyways. They said they stopped carrying the 30mg.

All the oxy's are gone because of Michelle Leonhart she is not right as I've said before watch her on youtube.
The videos are about her being questioned about marijuana but what shines through is her denial that drugs have any use other than for her to have a job keeping people from getting them. Since she wasn't doing her job watching these drugs before people died oxy mostly alot of people got them that shouldn't have now her admin. is applying the shotgun effect and no meds to anyone! Pain or not I don't have any thoughts on what to do about getting oxy's except to switch to morphine which apparently isn't todays buzz-word but I'm more worried that this woman will be elected again and that would stink, already they are going to make the morphones into that jelly when wet crap. Before long if she isn't gotten rid of somehow we are all gonna be huntin smack also I've written at 33-36. Pass on that womans videos no-one like that should be making peoples pain decisions for them, thank you.

Many of the big chain pharmacies that say they don't have them are usually lying. I know this first hand by 2 experiences I had in the last couple of months. I went to a large chain pharmacy last month and they told me they had 3 of my 4 prescriptions, but not the oxycodone. Well I had been to numerous places and they were the only ones who even said they had my ms contin er so I had them fill the 3 so I could have some relief. The next day I went back to speak with the pharmacy manager and was going to ask for a recommendation for a similar medication since there seemed to be a shortage everywhere. After talking to him for a few minutes and explaining my situation he told me they had the oxycodone in stock, but they were trying to keep a low profile since they had an attempted robbery a few weeks prior and this was my first time filling there. My next experience came this month. I usually go to my local CVS, but had been getting treated poorly by those wonderful pharmacy techs(overpaid pill counters) and had gotten different answers each time I went. 1 day it was they had just ran out a day or 2 prior. The next night I went and was told at first they don't carry it, but after calling him out and telling him I've been getting it filled there for some time he changed it to oh we havent been able to get it in stock. I went the next day and was told by another tech that they haven't had the oxycodone in months. Well I was pretty pissed by then so I called her out on her lies and spoke with the pharmacy manager. I explained my situation and also let him know that not only I but countless of other long time CVS customers were being treated poorly to say the least. He apologized blah blah blah and said that he would tell his staff they needed to treat people with dignity and be more empathetic with people who are already in pain and not add to it by treating us all like junkies. He seemed genuine in his concern and basically told me that getting them was like hitting the lottery as they go quickly when they get them. He did tell me though to check back about the same time the next day which I did and was told that none came on the order they just received. That same night I went in when the late shift pharmacist was there and at first he also told me that he did not have it in stock. Well I spoke with him for a few minutes and told him how it was wrong for them to have signs up that say "pharmacists who care" when judging by my experiences and experiences of others that was not the case. I then said that I could not believe they did not have such a small amount of oxycodone (under 50 tablets) when a lot of these independent pharmacies would have them but wanted over $10 for each pill. Somehow he must have had a conscience and went and checked and amazingly the oxycodone fairy must have came by and left some because he said that he did have some and that my prescription would be ready in 20 minutes. Also I had a friend who went to a different pharmacy and he and the pharmacist happened to be from the same foreign country and they got to talking and the pharmacist told him that there is no shortage and that pharmacies have them in stock but are basically profiling or playing doctor and deciding who to fill for. I personally think some of these pharmacists are telling people they don't have them to either steal them or to ensure that their friends get them and not people with legitimate needs. From now on don't take no from a pharmacy tech. Demand to speak with the pharmacy manager and ask for an explanation as to why you are being treated like a second class citizen or junkie because you take a pill to relieve some pain in order to live a somewhat functional life. If you are not satisfied with that get there names and start posting them online and call their district manager and explain that you are being lied to and treated poorly. If enough people stand up for their rights and exercise their collective consumer power we can get results.

Hey I saw you were asking a reply, its getting worse, My fiance was going to walgreens on Sanjose. they would LIE to people and say no. They had them and ONLY gave to people who were regular customers. then the DEA 2 months ago shut them down. My fiance has been to 47 pharmacies today. They all say no, or we only fill for OUR customers in OUR zip, or yes but you have never been here and my favorite is Yes but iys $8.87 a pill we dont accept insurance that comes to $1000.00. Is that right? Shouldnt it be 1st come 1st serve? Now we have to worry about detox. if its soo hard to find why do doctors prescribe them? This frustrates me soo badly!

Wow, One pharmist stands up! That's mighty cool of you Alex but I bet 7 out of 10 people get results at your store and most likley depends when they ask if you have them or not. Don't get me wrong Alex your setting an example for other pharmacies but will it catch on? We really need to read the other posts and really look and see who we complain to. Complaining to each other won't solve anything. We need to complain to the right people to get results. It dosent matter what issues we have with our bodies or what surgerys we've had. IT IS A PERSCRIPTION ISSUED BY A GOOD STANDING LICSENSED DOCTOR! Since when the pharmacys get the authority to judge people on weither or not TO HONNOR A VALID PERSCRIPTION! And the pharmacys wonder why they get robbed. Oxycodone IR is a very effictive and not only that affordable! People with out insurance can't afford almost $1,000 dollars a month for a 30 day supply! It dosent matter if every drug was (tamper proof) the addiction will be abused one way or another. The D.E.A has found more than one case of drugs being used incorrectly and most likley noticed this drug is a huge reason why other drugs that cost more and (tamper proof) aren't being sold and it takes a couple billion dollar a year business owners to feel threatend and lobby to the right politics to get results. Why do you think politics fight over a spot in congress when they spend 3.4 million in advertisement to get the spot ITS NOT THE YEARLY SALERY ITS POWER! They aren't bothered by there income or way of life. Absolute power=Absoulte corruption. They can stall this issue but the facts are IT IS AN EFFICTIVE AND AFFORDABLE MEDICATION people can afford! I feel even waiting more than 2 days to get your perscription filled is garbage. Many doctors have perscribed other drugs but now there in shortage to and a matter of time before they have a certin number they can produce a month. I've personally been threw everything everyones going threw and often wonder how do other people work 9 to 5 and take care of a child much less more and continue to handle a normal life when they have to wait a week or more for there medications or spend 3 days looking and still not locate their medications? I bet the welfair,H.U.D and food stamp offices are pretty busy not to mention the methadone clinics and not to mention when people can get dosed ALMOST 300MG"S OF METHADONE A DAY FOR $10 with company's working with and threw the city THAT'S A PROBLEM WHY DON'T POLITCS BOTHER THEM? I have the same issues everyone else has and of course would love a place that can meet my medications needs monthly any pharmacy that can help call Jason 904-654-5317 Leave message.I live in Orange Park,Fleming Island Jacksonville FL area. Hopefully something I've posted makes sense and bothered the right people to do something about it. Thanks for reading guys!

My husband is having the same problems getting his RX filled, everytime he goes to any pharmacy they are already out of them. He has been on them for 3 or 4 years and has major back, neck, and shoulder problems. He goes to his primary care doctor for the Rx's...he does not dr shop like most people do and it is very frustrating for those who really need them and they are not available for them. The pharmacys fill Rx's for these overnight pain clinics that keep popping up and it's just not fair. The pharmacys should have a list of ligit doctors offices and only fill the Rx's for those on the list.

Well to heck with all this complaining which does nothing to solve the problem so I started a petition to get the laws changed or something done last night. Seems you can go to a site called change.org I believe it was and start a petition on anything you want. So if you happen to see the one I started or want things changed go to that website and see if you can find it. I don't have an exact link and don't know much about the site. Just found it and did it on the spur of the moment....

I sent a email to wpbf in west palm beach describing the exact problems, that everyone here is having never heard back from them. Only a immediate response that they would get back to me. I've had back surgery which didn't work there was only a 60% chance it would so no to suprise there but I was getting 30mg oxy from my surgeon for several months. Then he said I need to go to pain mgmt. the first one found out I was taking roxies and I got the "line," sorry we don't feel comfortable. So we won't be taking you on as a patient. And I was with them before the surgery. So I found another one where I don't really like the Dr. but what can i do? and he won't write scrips for oxycodone. So now I'm getting morphine, but at a very low dose and I know my sister needs them she's had childhood arthritus and now, all kinds of stuff and I know several other people that need them, everyone is getting the same old song and dance. DEA has thrown the baby out with the bathwater, pretty soon the only thing anyone will be able to take for pain will be the black tar heroin they're moving up from Mexico to fill the oxy shortage.
