The medication is a blue delayed release capsule. It has markings on it that appear to be an AP intertwined. It has the number 60 a little beneath the AP.

I have barrette eshogus, and also acid reflux, have been on nexium since it hit the market. Two months ago Dr . Switched me to 60 mg dexilant , worked great for reflux, then I could not stop diarhea lasted 11 days! Called dr. Said it was side effect , put me back to nexium 40 mg twice daily! Anyone have any other rx's that really work!

my eleven year old daughter has been on dexilant for a year now.medicaid stopped covering it so they put her on nexium and amitiza .really nervous with what i am reading with side effects .amitiza keeps stating for women 18 years and over nexium states diarrea and sleepiness .should i insist on my child being put back on dexilant ?i really dont think i am even goung to try the other two.

Was there some reason they wanted her on the other medications?
The reason I'm asking is because Dexilant contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor.
That means that the Nexium, which contains Esomeprazole is an equivalent medication and has the same side effect profile as the Dexilant.
