What Is The Difference Between Novo-betahistine And Teva-betahistine
UpdatedI just noticed that my pharmacist has switched me from teva-betahistine to novo-betahistine. I only noticed this because I'm having one of the worst menier's attracts I've ever had. I am wondering, what is the difference between these drugs and why would he have done this?
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thank you

They are the same medication, they've just been manufactured by different companies. These are Canadian medications and in Canada, they usually list the manufacture first, then it's followed by a hyphenation and the name of the actual drug.
So, the first part of these, Novo and Teva, are both pharmaceutical manufacturers, but the drug is still Betahistine.
Learn more Betahistine details here.
Betahistine is a generic medication, which means it is manufactured by several different companies and your pharmacy will usually stock whichever one was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply.
So, you can rest assured that your medication has not been changed, you are still taking the same thing.
Is there anything else I can help with?
I also noticed the change from Novo to Teva-Betahistine and thought I was getting something different. I feel like this Teva-B is making me feel better than when I took Novo-B. The Novo-B seemed to be taking longer to relieve my symptoms of Vertigo and was about to ask my doc for something else I could take. Hopefully, this Teva keeps me feeling better. This Vertigo is ruining my life and I really need to get rid of it once and for all.
ive been taking teva betahistine for quite a while for ear problems..now ive noticed they are called act betahistine is there any difference..thank you
The coat on the tevi is harder and works better in your stomach. The tech melts in your mouth to soon, so it makes you speed not stay awake. Yes it maybe the same but one had a harder. Put one in your mouth and let it sit. One melt and 1 does not. I do not like tech.
