Hello, Lisa! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain.
Norco contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone and it is the stronger of the two. It only takes 1.25mgs of it to be equivalent to 5mgs of the Hydrocodone.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
However, it really depends on which one works best for you. Have you taken either of them, before?
