The various markings like this are just different abbreviations to denote that a medication is in a time released formulation, you may also see DR, SR, DA, SA, XR and others. It's just something that it seems the pharmaceutical community has gotten a bit carried away with. They need to decide on one universal one, so things are less confusing.
