What Is The Best Generic Version Of Percocet (rhodes Or Endo)? (Top voted first)
UpdatedIf anyone could help me with just these two...Rhodes or Endo - as those are the only choices I have for right now, I'd greatly appreciate it. I take 7.5mg Percocet and the pharmacy I usually go to does not have what I've been taking, so now I only have the choice of Rhodes or Endo, and that is it. Thanks for any help in this matter. Take care.

Hi. My pharmacy also switched to Rhodes. I took one last night and almost DIED!!! My heart raced all night and I didn't sleep at all. I couldn't have a bowel movement today either. I never had this problem with Mallinckrodt. I read where RHODES meds are manufactured in INDIA and shipped to the U.S.! This is unacceptable. I know some people have abused drugs and this caused the DEA to make so many changes. Sadly, these changes are hurting those, like myself, who truly need these meds to function and so I can work for a living. Not sure if I will now become a statistic and DIE now--not from an overdose but from taking pills that are of extremely poor quality, and are making me deathly sick! Putting this out there. Hopefully, the DEA WILL RECOGNIZE THAT NOT ALL PEOPLE ON OPIOID MEDS ARE ABUSING THEIR MEDS! IMO, the DEA is going to find more people DYING FROM TAKING POOR QUALITY GENERIC OPIOIDS THAN FROM OVERDOSING! Sick, sad, but true! Good luck to you all. I doubt I will survive another month. Very dangerous taking meds for years and then not taking anything at all. But, it's the DEA and the FDA that are really killing people!
I wanted to add that I tried the Rhodes 7.5 and they did not seem to work as well as what I've been taking. So, that leaves only the, Endos. I cannot remember if they're suppose to work all that well or not so I need your help. Rhodes and Endos are the Only two choices I have, as they're the only one's the pharmacy's near me have. I'd appreciate any input you have on these two Mfg.s very much. I see my pain doctor on the 26th of this month so hopefully will hear something soon.
Thanks in advance~
It really depends on the person, since we are all different. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
Have you tried the ones from Endo, yet? If so, how are they working for you?
I haven't tried the ones from Endo yet, if my pharmacy is still out on 7/26 (Wed), and if Walmart still has the Endos then looks like I'll give them a try. I've been taking this type of pain meds since 2004 and know the risks but thanks for letting me know, Verwon. Plus I have a high tolerance towards most medication, wish I didn't as I think most medication would work better on...for me.
Thanks for the reply! Take care and have a great week end~
Mylan pharmaceuticals also manufacture these as well as Watson and roxicet would be a cheaper generic and work as well if not even better
My husband is a 100% disabled veteran - He is in a lot of pain from service injuries - plus injuries from falling, etc (severe back pain). They keep changing his pain medications, but the REAL Percocet is what used to really help his pain in the past. He is also allergic to aspirin and penicillin due to being in a coma during service. Have they went to generic only for percocet medication?
Re: SICKandDISGUSTED (# 5)
Replying to you a year later I’m sure u have realized Rhodes, Alvogen, Amneal, Camber...seemingly ALL generic forms of PERCOCET, & any OXYCODONE meds ...are basically now like “sugar pills!” Here us CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS have been cut to half-doses on our scripts & the little we do receive is literally FDA approved half-strength of active ingredient, loaded w/fillers making us purposely SICK in addition to adding an ingredient behind our backs that block the “good feeling” factor; sad part is FDA DEA did this without our knowledge. We can’t even find out the ACTUAL new formulation ingredients! Chronic Pain Patients have been victimized & left behind. Go to: National Pain Report via NIH & start your research there everyone, Lot’s of info. We must fight this in order to continue leading somewhat productive lives.
Looking for the best-rated Percocet. The generic version that was given upon hospital discharge has been totally ineffective. Six days after hospital release (12 days post-op) had to return to hospital ER due to incision inflammation and increased pain. Morphine was substituted for Percocet. Knowing there are a good number of generic Percocet manufacturers and several grades of this drug (i.e. 325-10, 325-7.5, & 325-5), I would greatly appreciate knowing the brand name readers found most effective. I'm recovering from spondylolisthesis surgery with single ventral incision and double dorsal incision.
Re: Verwon (# 2)
Is the Percocet 7.5/325 Immediate Release or Extended Release? I’m trying to stick to the Immediate Release formula as I have a method of weaning off when it’s time that works for me.
