My husband got a refill of his oxycodone/apap from the VA that has 4839 over a line and a "v" in script under the line. They usually have 512 on one side and the line on the other side. We are concerned about the difference. He just got his new refill and it is 512 again. So,I had him start taking those until we find out what he has been taking. Help!!

The tablets with the 4839 V marking are manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is that the correct dosage?
