What Intravenous Pain Medication Starts With A Letter B
UpdatedMy son just called me from the hospital. He said they're giving him narcotic pain medication through his IV that starts with the letter B.

It could possibly be Buprenorphine, it is an opiate that is also used to treat drug addiction, but helps with pain for some people.
The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
Another possibility is Butorphanol, it carries the same risk and causes the same side effects.
Can he ask them what they are giving him?
