What Does Morphine, Oxycontin And Oxycodone Show Up As On A Drug Test

I have to go to the pain clinic next week and not sure if they are going to drug test me or not. They have been messing around with my meds and of course instead of starting at the ceiling they start at the floor. I was on morphine 30 twice a day, my insurance stopped paying for that. They tried all kinds of other things that bothered my stomach but now we are on oxycontin 10mg which is not strong enough so i have had to substitute until i go back and i do not want to lose my doctor. He is very understanding. I'm also on oxycodone 15mg for break thru so if i was to take a morphine what will it show up as if they did send it to the lab?

Yes the morphine will show up depending on the drug test they do. Some doctor who test in house may just look to see if you are postive for opiates in which you would be OK. But now almost all pain clinic what to see what type of opiate you are on. For example, morphine, oxycondone and so on. If you were on 30 mg of morphine 10mg of Oxcontin is about half the strength. Before taking anymore then what you are prescribed call your doctor first to tell him what is going on. Also start a pain log between now on your next appointment. That help you and your doctor determine what are causing flares and so on. Also it is something concrete that your doctor can see and doctors tend to consider or validate your pain more then just saying I'm in pain all the time. Pain doctors are very hard to come by and who willing to prescribe opiates medications now. If you have a dirty urine you will most likely not find another doctor willing to prescribe opiates to you ever again. I'm not joking either. The pill mill days are over
