I went to the clinic today for my yeast infection and the nurse gave me doxytet, bio metronidazole 400 and fixime 400mgn......will it help?...its making me feel nauseous and tired

About a week ago I went to the doctor who prescribed metazol 400 and doxytet for a sti (which had previously went untreated for about 2 years.) I still however have the burning sensation and excessive inching and was wondering how long until it goes away.or should I be concered that it could be something more serious. I have 7days of medication left. Also I get reinfected while on these tablets.

Are you sure it's a yeast infection? Did they actually do an exam to check?

Antibiotics, which is what these are, will not treat a yeast infection. They can actually cause them as side effects.

To treat a yeast infection, you need an antifungal medication.
