What Pharmacy Carries Greenstone Xanax (Page 2) (Top voted first)

My longtime pharmacy stopped carrying the Greenstone generic of Xanax. How could I find another local pharmacy that does carry them?

Hi, im in Columbia S.C. and i've been on Xanax over 15 years now. I was seeing only 1 Dr. and he retired without notice all of a sudden. Im used to the ones with the G3720 bc its the kind Ive always taken. I had a hard time finding a Dr after this who would help get my meds started again, it took a very long time and I moved to Columbia SC and cannot seem to locate any pharmacy here who has this type. Ive been everywhere. Im now taking the 0.5 GG257 peach but they are not at all the same. I beleive im taking Sandoz brand. I would absolutely greatly appreciate it if someone, anyone could help me out and tell me who I should go to... Who carries this specific kind. It's G3720 peach oval. Theres such a difference in the Brands and I noticed it right off. I want my regular kind back. I appreciate any and all info on this matter. Thank you so much... Please remember im in Columbia SC. Don't know if they have K Marts or Meijer stores down there but I agree and will only settle for greenstone brand for numerous reasons, one of which is that is a subsidiary co. of Pfizer/Upjohn which is who makes the name brand xanax. Anyhow, those 2 places I named don't carry greenstone brand but special order them for me. Hope this helps u out. If not ask whatever pharmacies are in ur area and ask them if they can order the greenstone brand for u. I'm sure somewhere will order them for u. Sorry, this is a late response to ur post but I just figured I'd try to help if u haven't already figured it out.

Just tried Thursday 3/12/20 to get my Greenstone Alprazolam refill that Walgreens always ordered for me. They said that Greenstone is no longer making the generic for Xanax. They now carry Breckenridge. I didn't ask about ordering any other brands as I wasn't familiar with any others.

And most useless....5 days of taking u31 adderall and i checked myself for drugs and cleared on AMP AND M-AMP AS IF I NEVER INGESTED ADDERALL AT ALL.... I'm planning on taking action legal against them for destroying the trust I had with Teva... Their new partner in crime

Unfortunately here at CVS in RI they will not give you a quote without a prescription. They claim they have to put it in the system first. Apparently it varies from State to State and Pharmacy to Pharmacy. I thought when you got older life was easier.

By the way, my issue looking for a substitute for Mylan 1 mg. Alprazolam was successful. Actavis is comparable and now I feel happy and normal again. Greenstone was too strong for me. I did go to a Mom & Pop Pharmacy and paid out of pocket. Worth every penny.??

You can call around but they may not tell you. You could try contacting the manufacturer and telling them you need to find a retailer in your area. They should be able to tell you who they distribute to.

This is NOT true. I actually was told BY A CVS PHARMACIST, to have my doctor include “‘blank’ manufacturer only” on my prescription, and that way they would have to order that brand. It just depends on finding the right CVS, but u DEFINITELY CAN have certain meds special-ordered from SOME CVS’. Speaking from personal experience myself.

Greenstone is what I am on here looking for also. It isn’t the cheapest so a lot are phasing it out for cheaper ones that ARE PURE CRAP.

My doc must not know he doesn’t have the authority, he does it every time I ask him and I end up with exactly what I want……all doctors have that authority. Doesn’t mean the pharmacy will have or be able to order what you want.

Greenstone is the only generic Alprazolam that work as good as the brand name Xanax, because.....They are made by Phizer who makes brand name Xanax same medication except it has a "G" and a few numbers behind it, and in the last 2 months the price went from $93 to $230 for 150 tablets, a month's supply!
How do they expect people on a fixed income to afford that!!!!!

When I needed a specific manufacturer of Adderall I contacted Teva’s customer service phone line & asked them to tell me which pharmacy they distributed to in a 100 mile radius of my zip code. They could look and tell me, unfortunately it was during a shortage so there were none, but they saved me calling pharmacies all day.

Please don’t called call a bunch of pharmacies, they are so busy right now and so short staffed.

I can tell you that CVS and Rite Aid use the same distributor, and Walgreens and Walmart use the same distributor, so if you do have to check individual pharmacies I would bet that if Walmart doesn’t have them Walgreens won’t have them. But I would try contacting the manufacturer themselves. They helped me 15 years ago when I needed info.

My doctor specifies “Do Not Dispense Aurobindo” on my adderall scripts because they make (made) counterfeit adderall. It worked.

They can try to just specify only dispense greenstone, the problem is that the chain pharmacies can only get what they get, they don’t special order anymore. I mean try, you might get a nice pharmacy manager, but I’m pretty sure that the chain pharmacies can only order from who they order from.

This is inaccurate. Your doctor can specify a specific manufacturer on your prescription. Just save yourself and your doc time and make sure the pharmacy they’re sending it to has it in stock. Greenstone generic Xanax and Teva generic Adderall are made by the companies that make the brand name so it’s the closest in inactive ingredients to the brand drug. My doc writes for example Alprazolam (Greenstone MFG Medically Necessary) or Amphetamine Salts (Teva Medically Nexessary) and if it is written like that they can’t fill it with anything else. But be aware of that if they don’t have it your doc will have to send a new prescription without the (medically necessary) designation.
