CVS can also "Special-Order" your medication if its available from Mckesson, and it come in the next day if ordered monday through Friday. Friday orders come Monday.

Also, it helps if you actually have your Doctor write, (or as of 1/1/22 E-Prescribe it as "Greenstone Authorized Generic Only*, that way the pharmacy will have no choice but to get you the Greenstone ones.

They used to have a Greenstone Pharmacy Locator, But what you could do is see if your pharmacist can special order medications from Mckesson. Mckesson is most of the main-chain pharmacies distributor, and even though everyone thinks "Mom-and-Pop" pharmacies are better, I've personally dealt with one that specificially COULDN'T order from McKesson, which lead to me switching to CVS.

You can call around but they may not tell you. You could try contacting the manufacturer and telling them you need to find a retailer in your area. They should be able to tell you who they distribute to.

A quote with your Insurance, well no they don't have the time to put test claims in? However, you can always receive a quote, similar to how GoodRx or SingleCare does it. Glad to know you are enjoying your Activas/Teva, I got a bottle of those Wednesday, hadn't seen them for some time. I used to get very excited with this medicine, and then it almost killed me 10 years ago. Have a very different outlook on this stuff now

Unfortunately here at CVS in RI they will not give you a quote without a prescription. They claim they have to put it in the system first. Apparently it varies from State to State and Pharmacy to Pharmacy. I thought when you got older life was easier.
By the way, my issue looking for a substitute for Mylan 1 mg. Alprazolam was successful. Actavis is comparable and now I feel happy and normal again. Greenstone was too strong for me. I did go to a Mom & Pop Pharmacy and paid out of pocket. Worth every penny.??

You can call the pharmacies and ask who the manufacturer is of the medication your ina quoting about. Only need written rx if inquiring about a price. I do it for my husband often.

Just tried Thursday 3/12/20 to get my Greenstone Alprazolam refill that Walgreens always ordered for me. They said that Greenstone is no longer making the generic for Xanax. They now carry Breckenridge. I didn't ask about ordering any other brands as I wasn't familiar with any others.
