What Is Tolvaptan Prescribed For

NATRISE TAB CONSIST OF SALT TOLVAPTAN ,is given to my father aged 78 yrs, for sodium difficiency , Is there any side effect of the same and how long he has to take this medicine , being too costly. Also pl suggest alternate
medicine for curing sodium defficiency.

How long he will have to take it depends on how fast he responds.

Do they know what caused the hyponatremia? Does he suffer from CHF?

As to alternative medications, I really don't know what's available there. Have you tried asking the pharmacist/chemist?

They should be able to help.

The side effects may include: nausea, problems with muscle control, mood changes and dizziness.
