What Is The Difference Between Hydrocodone V3601 And M367?
UpdatedWhat are the differences between those two? Which one is stronger? M367 or v3601? I know they have the same 10/325 dosage but surely there must be a difference of some sort? If anyone knows, please share your knowledge with me. Thanks.

Hi Ego,
Although both of the pills in question are one in the same drug, the first difference I noticed is that they are manufactured by different companies. Because of this, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients; which does have an affect on the bio-availability (absorption) of the medication itself.
Both of these are also generic medications. Generic medications are permitted by the FDA to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredients. This factor, along with different inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) could enable you to have a completely different reaction to each medication.
Here's an article that may also help shed some light on the differences of generic meds:

I hope this info helps!
Hi David,
I just wanna thank you so much for replying and very soon too. I highly appreciate it and the information you gave me did help a lot.
Kudos.
Is it the norm for us consumers to request what manufacturers they get certain medications from? Can my current pharmacy deny me transferring just one of my prescriptions? Especially if it's for pain.
Thanks
Denise
Yes there is a difference's ! The inactive Ingredients, they can cause Problems the way its Absorbed
Hi
I have found that the ones that have the M on them do not work as well or as long, they are soft and chalky when you break them in half. Try getting your script filled at walgreens they have the Watson brand they work way better
Is one stronger than the other
The difference is the manufacturers.
No...if you ever receive the brand name drug-Norco 10\325 you will notice a difference in that they seem stronger but all the others are generic from various pharmaceutical companies
Thanks, Wal-Mart just filled this for me for the first time. The pills are white with M367 my drug store pills are yellow with 36/01 on the back.
If you get script In hand you can take it to any store you wish .... if you handed script to them you can ask for it back & they should return it
Depends on your pharmacy now days and all the new rules changing. I was just told that my pharmacy was only carrying white right now and wasn't sure when yellow would be back in stock. They are going do what makes them the most money. Also was told if I fill any of my other meds there I had to fill them all there; scripts with narcotics cannot be transferred anymore? Use to be you could transfer one time but they said that had changed now also.
Hello, I have always been prescribed the 10-325 but the pharmacy sent me home with the generic of Watson 853. I am getting no relieve from these pills. I have also taken notice that these Watson 853 pills have zero bitter taste to them.
The new qualitest 3601 yellows are reformulated garbage. Has a time release or something no energy just tired and depressed not sure what they did to them. And the Watson white 853 are just pure acetaminophen , garbage.
Re: Dawn (# 11)
My drug store has a firm policy that if you fill your pain pills there you must also get your other meds. They will not let you get just pain meds anymore. So this may be way you can't transfer just your pain pills...perhaps you can transfer them all??
I get the Norco 367 and last month they gave me the Norco v 3609. I noticed I didn't get the relief from them so I called the pharmacy to make sure I got the right pills. They said they were the same pill just a different manufacturer. Today I got a refill and got the v 3609 pills again. I took 2 of them 2 hours ago and still have pain... Has anyone else had this happen before?
Last month I got a pink hydrocodone pill with 3605 on it. This month a white hydrocodine pill with M367 on it. What is the difference?
