my 13yr old daughter was prescribed doxytet by the dr. for her pimples on her forehead, instead her cheeks is becoming dry with a rash, is normal or should i take her off the tablets

Fifi, a discharge with a foul odor could be a symptom of an infection, so you should consult your doctor. Even though you are already on an antibiotic, it may not have prevented infection and you may require a stronger dosage or a different antibiotic.

As to sex, if you have an infection, no you shouldn't be engaging in it and these pills will not protect you from pregnancy.

Maria, as I listed in my first post, Doxytet contains Doxycycline, not a sulfa based active ingredient. Are your doctor and pharmacist aware of your allergy?

It's always a good idea to make sure they are, so they can check any medication you are given, because I have no way to check the inactive ingredients for you.

i had an arbotion 2weeks ago the nurse gave me Doxytet.i have a smelly discharge.will this go away? or must i consult my docter.is sex safe during this period when im still using this pills?

Doxytet contains the active ingredient Doxycycline, which is a Tetracycline class antibiotic.

And yes, a skin rash can be a normal side effect of using the medication, she may also experience: nausea, drowsiness and diarrhea.

The rash and dryness should go away, as her body gets used to the medication or when she finishes the treatment course. However, if it doesn't or becomes worse, you should contact her doctor.
