To answer your question, Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim is a sulfonamide antibacterial combination that is used in the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections.
Although its list of potential side effects makes this drug arguably one of the least desirable antibiotics on the market (in my opinion), all prescription drugs carry certain risk factors.
