To answer your question directly, yes, having taken oral contraceptives, such as Primolut (norethindrone) is a big contributing factor toward yeast infection.
Eating foods high in refined carbs and living a highly stressful lifestyle are additional common factors. I recommend Donna Gate's Book, The Body Ecology Diet, toward reducing the yeast in your gut. If you can shift your food toward 80% alkalizing fruits and veggies and 20% acid forming foods (mostly meat, fish, poultry, eggs, rice - even brown rice), it will be a big step toward setting up an environment that encourages beneficial microbes and discourages the yeast. Lots of fiber is essential though, veggies, fruit, veggies, fruit, and more veggies Lol!
