I have been taking oxycodone 15mg for 1year7months and my Dr. is immediately taking me off of it. Is he allowed to let me be sick and in pain. I feel like my muscles are on fire, shoulders and spinal pain. My car accident let me with 4th and 5th fractured vertebrae, blowed both my shoulders out, collapsed lung, broken wrist, amputated finger and a blowed out knee. I have taken 3-4 pills daily and he claims my X-ray says I am Fine. When clearly I am not. Whats the law? and what can i do?

Yes, he can do that and there is nothing you can do about it. As a matter of fact, unless your life is in immediate danger, then he isn't required to treat you, at all, for any reason.

I'm sorry, I know it's awful and no one deserves to suffer, but since analgesia is considered to be related to your quality of life, not to protect your life, there's nothing to be done and the law doesn't protect you.

What type of doctor are you seeing?

Is it a pain management specialists, or a general practitioner?
