Westward 787 But-ace-caf 50-325-40

I checked three pharmacies and none carry butalbital manufactured by westward. I am told it is on back order with no specific date. Is it discontinued? Also, I was given MIA110 as substitute but it doesn't work as well. Any reason why that would be?

According to Medscape, Butalbital has been discontinued. However, I don't know which manufacturer it's referring to and I have yet to come across any other specific details that support this claim.

Regarding MIA 110, it does contain Acetaminophen + Butalbital + Caffeine in the same listed dosages as Westward 787. So it could just be that you're experiencing a different reaction due to having a different set of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that make up the composition of the tablet. This can effect how well your body absorbs it and invariably determine how well you respond to it in comparison to the other brand.
