Weight On Bactrim 800-160

I weigh 112lbs and I was prescribed bactrim 800-160 for a uti. Is this safe to take because of my weight?

You should follow your doctor's prescribing instructions. Once someone is older than 12, medications are no longer prescribed according to body weight.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
