Wegovy 1mg Dose (Top voted first)

Has anyone been prescribed 1mg dose to begin Wegovy? My husband was and I cannot find any info on this dosage.

My wife’s university professor endocrinologist tried to start her at 0.5 but the pharmacist refused. I think it was the pharmacist using clinical judgment, but maybe we missed that it was insurance-related.

I presume/hope the doc had a good reason to start your husband higher than normal.

Wegovy 1 mg/0.5 mL (NDC 0169-4501)

WEGOVY is an injectable prescription medicine that may help adults and children aged 12 years and older with obesity, or some adults with excess weight (overweight) who also have weight-related medical problems to help them lose weight and keep the weight off.

Use Wegovy 1 time a week

4 Single-Dose Prefilled Pens

Each pen delivers a single dose of 1 mg Semaglutide

For subcutaneous use only

Inactive Ingredients:
- SODIUM PHOSPHATE, DIBASIC, DIHYDRATE
- SODIUM CHLORIDE
- WATER
