Weaning Off Metoprolol Succ 25 Mg

I been on metoprolol for 2 half weeks. I had know side effects until 5 days ago. I started have dizzyness and was very tried. My dr. told me to cut it in half once a day and now I'm lightheaded all day and still tired. I don't know if this normal or not but can someone help!!! Is this going to go away soon cause Im trying to stop taking it all together. Oh Im taking it for pvcs.

Yes, those can be normal side effects of the medication, as listed by the FDA, since it is a beta blocker. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, headache and increased urination.

However, they should taper off in severity and then go away entirely, in a few weeks, once your body adjusts to the medication.

Thank you verwon, but I'm weaning off metoprolol succ 25mg and I was woundering if it is normal to feeling all the feelings I'm feeling while weaning off and does it all stop once I'm off the med or as I'm weaning off?
