Watson Or Hydrocodone? (Top voted first)
UpdatedI recently went to CVS and forgot that they use some sort of generic for lortab called, well, I call it "Mallencrock (crock-o-crap). I have a refill. Can I go in and ask that they not make me pay for something I can't stand and doesn't work for me, and that I would like to have Lortab/Watson brand?

There have been many complaints about the products manufactured by Mallinckrodt.
Yes, you can ask them ahead of time if they have a different one in stock to fill your prescription, though it may be more expensive.
If they don't, or won't order it in for you, you could always see about transferring your prescription elsewhere.

Is there anything else I can help with?
I actully did what you said and had it transferred to Walgreens and they happily gave me what I wanted. Now I am getting some relief from my cracked tailbone. It's a shame I had to wait for the refill to get any relief. That Mallencrcock (intentionally misspelled) is a joke.
CVS filled my prescription for hydrocodon with pills i am not used to which are watson with white oblong pills IP 119 one pill made me sick can i take them back for watsons? RPH:E.A.Greeley is printed on bottle above date filled.
I have been using the CVS Mallincrockt brand for many moons and they work fine.......this time, however, they didn't have enough so I went over to Walgreen.......whatever brand the are, these pills just don't work as well
Re: JEB (# 3)
The "IP" pills seem to be awful and ineffective. I understand that MOST Walgreens carry this brand of generic hydrocodone. I have read many "reviews" of the various generic hydrocodone and almost all of them have their detractors and the same generic hydrocodone is loved by others. I guess that means that everybody is different. I have NEVER had any complaints about the generic hydrocodone I am prescribed until last month when I was given the "IP" brand and found them to be awfully ineffective. I changed pharmacies and was dispensed the Mallincrodt brand. Some say they are great others say they stink. I will find out MY experience after a couple of days. I have been told by the Pharmacist at my local Walgreens that they now carry the "Activist" brand as the Watson brand has been bought out and the Watson name is only used in certain markets for certain meds. Next month I will be approved for the name brand Vicodin and I will see how that works. If I do not get preapproved the price goes from $8.00 to over $175.00 for 120 pills. I hope the name brand is more consistent than all of these distributors of generic hydrocodone. We'll see.
