Re: Apple (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Isnt this an outright travesty. I already knew those piece of crap Amneal mfg pills made me sick gave me headaches and took no pain away at all so i always went to walgreens to get my watsons. Surprise when i got home with my script to find this crap in its place. I called right away to ask to switch them out because one other month i made this mistake getting cheaper ones at kroger and went through 30 days of torture. Walgreens said no way and they wont be carrying watsons anymore and i guess they didnt feel that was pertinent to tell someone whose pain levels get so high i get suicidal so i am in the midst of one of the most painful months of my life. I love how poharmaceutical companies and pharmacies have no idea how life changing that can be but they give no damns at all! Im praying the little pharmacy I know has always carried them still does because if not I just dont know if I can take this anymore. I firmly believe these pills are placebo with negative effects so people wont want them anymore. Again these addicts are ruining my life us who are in real pain. It makes me sick
Walgreens told me no more watsons in their stores in texas

Re: In pain insane (# 47) Expand Referenced Message

Guess you haven't seen my post (#46) or read it. I explain what happened to the Watson brand. If you think that you won't get, shall we say "dependent" on hydrocodone don't fool yourself. If you take hydrocodone for any period of time you will become "dependent".

Watson is no longer sold in my town and the brands they do sell don't work. I understand that the government has an epidemic but people are starting to buy them off the street or have to take more than prescribed to get relief. I'm sure Mexico loves this. Hello more problems. Now I personally am going to go to a stronger drug. I need pain relief! I'm not addicted to hydrocodone but am afraid of getting addicted to the harder stuff. Pharmacists just buy the cheapest meds. Is it all about the buck$? Which pharmacy carries Watson hydrocodone? Thanks for letting me vent.

Re: Lynn (# 45) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for your efforts. Everyone needs to keep in mind that every State has different laws and insurance in every State will, most likely, be different. With those qualifiers stated PLEASE Google Watson on the internet. They were bought out by another company. The new company does still manufacture certain medications, in certain States, under the "Watson" name. That, however, does NOT mean that they are formulated like the "Watson" medications were prior to being bought out by the other Corporation. They may be but there is no guarantee that the meds are the same. Only the name is guaranteed to be the same. I have decided to go with the name brand thinking that it will be more consistent. I don't start until the precertification process is approved by my insurance company. Without insurance I was quoted from $179 to $279 per MONTH for the prescription. I take hydrocodone 7.5/325. I have seen prices all over the board on this site but the prices I quoted are reality in my State.

Re: W john (# 41) Expand Referenced Message

Hello John, I called for info, to find out what was happening? I am still searching for answers. However, I did get answers for my questions, whether true or not, I am still checking. I did find out through my insurance company, that I can get pre-authorized (I have a ppo policy) meds. I wish everyone the best of luck! Always check with your PCP before changing, starting, stopping any meds or otc products!! Thx!

Re: Lynn (# 43) Expand Referenced Message

Here is a copy of letter I sent to amneal:

Dear Amneal pharmaceutical,

I have been on Watson's hydrocodone 10/325 APAP for years at no more than 25 mgs a day.

However, when I picked up my Rx at local Walgreens,it was substituted for your product.

Everyone is different, but your product does not work for me at all!!

I get stomach cramps, chills & constipated! It is not because of change of meds,I tried this med years ago, same problems!

It does nothing for my pain,Tylenol works better than this product!

I took BOT medical in college & my former roommate was in pharma! So I know more than the average person.

What is the NDC # for a comparable med to Watson's? I will tell you Watson no longer does this generic med.

I cannot take your meds!

I do my best to stay healthy & active, due to my conditions!

Please, respond to this inquiry as I am suffering & I really don't like the side effects I am having!

Thank you for your time!

Best regards

Lynn

Watson quit making generic hydros 10/325-APAP. Teva pharmaceuticals has taken over their generics. Google Teva & ask for the NDC # for that med, then call pharmacies with that med #. Hope this helps! I am allergic to certain dyes & fillers, so I have to be very careful! Good luck!

Re: Lynn (# 40) Expand Referenced Message

I don’t go to a Walgreens or CVS I go to a independent Pharmacy and seem to have it more times than not. Walgreens in California that I found don’t carry Norco (yellow Qualitest 36 01 v) 325-10’s. Some CVS carry the Norco 325-10. Norco brand would cost you about four hundred dollars.

Re: Lynn (# 39) Expand Referenced Message

Calling Watson directly will have no effect whatsoever. You cannot buy from them directly. As long as there are "bean counters" at these corporations that believe they can save 1/100th of a penny per pill they will go with the cheaper pill. They could care less that the quality is awful. They only care about the cost. Maybe, Watson might tell you where their products can be found.

Watson no longer makes generic,Teva has taken over their generics. I was told by Teva this morning, that CVS pharmacy should have them?? I have not confirmed this yet. Hope this helps!

Georgia too, all Walgreens, Riteaid, Publix don't have a contract with Watson! Call Watson at 862-261-7000.

I get a 120 Norco 325-10’a a month. I don’t use my insurance and it’s only $34.67 without insurance.

It's not just your city. I'm in Dallas TX and can't find the Watson's. All I'm getting is "IP", which don't help at all.

Re: Kevlar (# 14) Expand Referenced Message

I totally agree. I’m going through stage 4 cancer and don’t want to go on anything stronger than loratab. I know it’s not in my head. I used to be on the Watson brand, which helped me so much more. I feel these genetic co are making a fortune and you don’t even know what is in them. This is why I believe so many have turned to the harder drugs because their taking what works away.

It is my understanding that Watson was bought out by another company and the name is only being used in certain places and for specific medications.

Re: Comatose (# 19) Expand Referenced Message

First, let me state that no company should ever be rude to an honest, paying customer. That being said, you need to know that in today's world ANYONE being prescribed an opioid based medication will be treated like a common street addict. It is the politics of the matter. Where the most problems come from street addicted illicit drug addicts EVERYONE that takes any prescribed opioids has been grouped all together. I have tried to explain the difference between people on long term pain meds and street addicts but it falls on deaf ears.

Re: Lula (# 12) Expand Referenced Message

Have the same problem in Illinois. Walgreens no longer carries Watson, (doctor has prescribed 7.5 Norco, by Watson) for years for debilitating pain. I cannot take Vicodin even though the main ingredients, hydrocodone and acetaminophen are the same, it's the BINDER that is the issue. Walgreens was backordered and now carries the generic by Amneal. Makes me SOOO sick, I cannot take one without having the entire room spin, nausea also sets in. Great.
