Re: Apple (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Georgia too, all Walgreens, Riteaid, Publix don't have a contract with Watson! Call Watson at 862-261-7000.

I don’t go to a Walgreens or CVS I go to a independent Pharmacy and seem to have it more times than not. Walgreens in California that I found don’t carry Norco (yellow Qualitest 36 01 v) 325-10’s. Some CVS carry the Norco 325-10. Norco brand would cost you about four hundred dollars.

Watson quit making generic hydros 10/325-APAP. Teva pharmaceuticals has taken over their generics. Google Teva & ask for the NDC # for that med, then call pharmacies with that med #. Hope this helps! I am allergic to certain dyes & fillers, so I have to be very careful! Good luck!

Re: W john (# 41) Expand Referenced Message

Hello John, I called for info, to find out what was happening? I am still searching for answers. However, I did get answers for my questions, whether true or not, I am still checking. I did find out through my insurance company, that I can get pre-authorized (I have a ppo policy) meds. I wish everyone the best of luck! Always check with your PCP before changing, starting, stopping any meds or otc products!! Thx!

Re: Lynn (# 45) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for your efforts. Everyone needs to keep in mind that every State has different laws and insurance in every State will, most likely, be different. With those qualifiers stated PLEASE Google Watson on the internet. They were bought out by another company. The new company does still manufacture certain medications, in certain States, under the "Watson" name. That, however, does NOT mean that they are formulated like the "Watson" medications were prior to being bought out by the other Corporation. They may be but there is no guarantee that the meds are the same. Only the name is guaranteed to be the same. I have decided to go with the name brand thinking that it will be more consistent. I don't start until the precertification process is approved by my insurance company. Without insurance I was quoted from $179 to $279 per MONTH for the prescription. I take hydrocodone 7.5/325. I have seen prices all over the board on this site but the prices I quoted are reality in my State.

Re: In pain insane (# 47) Expand Referenced Message

Guess you haven't seen my post (#46) or read it. I explain what happened to the Watson brand. If you think that you won't get, shall we say "dependent" on hydrocodone don't fool yourself. If you take hydrocodone for any period of time you will become "dependent".

Isnt this an outright travesty. I already knew those piece of crap Amneal mfg pills made me sick gave me headaches and took no pain away at all so i always went to walgreens to get my watsons. Surprise when i got home with my script to find this crap in its place. I called right away to ask to switch them out because one other month i made this mistake getting cheaper ones at kroger and went through 30 days of torture. Walgreens said no way and they wont be carrying watsons anymore and i guess they didnt feel that was pertinent to tell someone whose pain levels get so high i get suicidal so i am in the midst of one of the most painful months of my life. I love how poharmaceutical companies and pharmacies have no idea how life changing that can be but they give no damns at all! Im praying the little pharmacy I know has always carried them still does because if not I just dont know if I can take this anymore. I firmly believe these pills are placebo with negative effects so people wont want them anymore. Again these addicts are ruining my life us who are in real pain. It makes me sick

Re: W john (# 48) Expand Referenced Message

I don't know about being dependent? I go hollistic every 3/4 years. I hate taking meds, but in order for me to have quality of life, I need pain relief! I maintain, have for years on low dose, average 15-20 mgs a day, sometimes less (warm weather) no more than 25 mgs a day (cold weather). As for Watson, they no longer make generics, I called them, so I suggest everyone call them & see what they say to you!? I can't take alot of meds, like Percocet, anything morphine based, Norco yellow (allergic to the yellow dye). Amneal product needs to be recalled, made me very very sick! Fortunately, I did a home remedy, feeling better! Good luck all! Blessing!

Re: Apple (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Watson became Actavis a few years ago. Each generic should be processed the same but I have found that to be the case. So much so that I had a failed drug panel due to a morphine metabolite. I believe it was an error in the making of the drug but that’s just me...no evidence to prove it.

In any case, if you’re really having issues, talk to your doc about alternative treatments.

Re: Lynn (# 54) Expand Referenced Message

What is dependent? The feeling that you have to have your pills everyday. You don't abuse the use of the pills by taking more than prescribed unless directed by your Doctor. You don't do any conduct that would be considered illegal. However, you have to have your meds everyday and if you try to quit cold turkey you can feel the withdrawal pangs. When you try to titrate down off the medications you feel the withdrawal pangs. This most often happens when you have been on opioid-based medications for years. When you reach the pure addiction level you abuse your prescription by taking way more pills than you have been prescribed. You have to buy extra pills from any source available. I have seen pill addicts and they are insane without their pills. I knew one person that was supposed to take two pills every 4-6 hours and they would take as many as 7. That was addiction. They had to go to an inpatient drug addiction facility and dry out under a Dr's supervision and in a managed facility as an inpatient. Dependence is bad but a person with strong resolve can get off the opioid-based meds if they make an honest effort. Addicts need professional help to get off their habit. Some have gotten rid of their addiction on their own but you have to be extremely strong mentally. If you cannot stop your pain meds on your own you may be addicted---not just dependent.

There are many of us on the oxycodone 10-325 in severe chronic pain and have been taking them for years but out good generics seem to be leaving the stores. Re: w john (# 56) Expand Referenced Message

I am slowly transition off opiods,I do this every 3/4 years, I'm 55 & like to cleanse my body out!
I am taking natural alternative w/ supplements & vitamins.
Turmeric root, ginger & honey work well for me!! The amneal generic hydros, made me so sick, really sick( almost went to ER ( do not like hospitals, especially during flu season).
I hibernate,in winter.
I took BOT in college & former roomie was in pharmacuticals for years- learned alot about human body & meds!
I was maintaining in very low dose, because I do not like taking meds, however, I do want quality of life,so alternatives are better for me right now! Yes I am in more pain than normally, but it will level out!
I can't take morphine, yellow dye, any thing with wheat or alfalfa & mild reaction to codeine ( itchy).
Good luck to all! Blessings!

I don't know if a mail home Pharmacy will deliver any of the Norco's. It's called CareZone it's a home delivery service. They might carry Watson's.

From what I have heard here in Dallas, Tx. Is that Walgreens had brought back the Watson brand of Hydrocodon. They probably had a loss do to the fact.

Watson is now Activis name. They are a generic company now and serve over 100 countries. I have not been able to found out if they are to continue their main brand. Evidently not. I agree that the generic Activis is not controlling the pain as they produced under the Watson Brand. I'm looking for something a bit stronger to use. Thank you !

Re: Ellen (# 69) Expand Referenced Message

Walgreen's cannot provide "Watson" brand anymore because they were ought out by "Actavis" back in 2014. It is in the article about "Watson" being bought out that Actavis would discontinue the Watson brand in all but a few meds and they were not going to manufacture Watson in generic opioids after some time. The Watson brand opioids, which were damn good generics, are no longer available.
