Watson Changed Its Formulation

I've been on 7.5/325, I was using Walgreens Pharmacy to get my script filled. However, I have noticed that the "Watson Brand" ---- of hydrocodone (Walgreens carries) is not strong at all..

After doing research-- discovered Watson was purchased by Actavis--- and since have changed their formulation in all "hydrocodone".

I called Watson/Actavis----to report the pills are NOT strong.. They have been getting a lot of complaints! So, if you want Watson/Actavis to go back to the "old formulation" call them and complain---- see it they change it back this year!

Once you accept your prescription, pharmacy policies don't allow you to take it back for an exchange (especially if it's been opened). All they will probably do is dispose of it. I think Fefe's best bet would be to contact their doctor and ask for a different prescription (manufacturer) altogether. The doctor can specify on the script that a particular manufacturer is to be avoided at all costs. I'd just encourage Fefe to bring the remainder of their hydrocodone with them to show the prescribing doctor that they are serious.

On a side note: Actavis was recently acquired by Teva as of last month (Aug. 2016). So it would seem that you'd now have to contact Teva [or the FDA via their MedWatch Program] regarding product complaints. With all these mergers taking place, they make it pretty difficult for patients to track and hold certain manufacturer's accountable for their mistakes. Nevertheless, I hope everyone here is able to work with their doctor on finding something that works best.
